We feel lucky - Impressive facilities and kind staff

The facilities are very impressive. A new building and a large amount of outdoor space. It would be nice to see the outdoor space developed as the school grows as there is a lot of grass. My son enjoys going to the school and has had 3 very good years there. There have been one or two times that I have needed to speak to teachers but they have dealt with stuff well. No school is perfect but we feel lucky that we got a place at this school.

Lovely School!

A really welcoming community primary school. I am delighted to send my daughter there. The teachers are very welcoming and the school staff all seem to work so hard. The school is not full yet but I am very impressed with the vision and values at Kilnwood Vale.

Ignore the good reviews!

This school is so bad, ignore the positive reviews they are probably been put on by people linked to the school in some way. If I could have given zero to everything I would have. Bullying, communication, organisation, to name a few are all a problem in this school. Avoid this school at all costs.

Ignore the negatives.

It's interesting when you look at all the surrounding schools reviews, everything is low, because people just come me here to complain. To counteract the negative, here's my positive review. Kilnwood is a great school with excellent teachers. They work hard to connect with the children and get the best out of them. Things do happen of course, it's a school with children, but these things are quickly resolved and never ignored. The school is a lovely environment with a great future ahead. My child is very happy there and I am very pleased that we chose this school.

So bad!

This is the worst school iv ever experienced. Bullying is a massive problems in all years. There is not enough space in this box for me to even comment on all the bad things happening in this school. Avoid this school at all costs. If I could give zero for everything I would have.

Children are being ignored and teachers doesn't care

If I could give this school a zero, I would. We've been here from the start. The school looks nice but staff and head teacher are completely clueless and incompetent. Children are being ignored and they don't seem to care about pushing children to their full potential. Kids who are high achievers are constantly being held back. There seem to be a lot of bullying going on at this school too, especially from the older kids, and nothing gets done about it either. Very disappointed with this school.

Brilliant school, very happy

We love KV primary, please do not be put off by the old reviews things have changed and the new head and assistants have been wonderful. Reception teachers brilliant, go above and beyond. We were told about an incident honestly and immediately and it was dealt with quickly and appropriately. I have no concerns about bullying as it was nipped in the bud so quickly

SCHOOL tolerant of SEXUAL ABUSE!

The Headteacher is incompetent. Children get sexually abused here by fellow children and school will only separate them, won’t even suspend perpetrator. They don’t have tough policies. The management is inexperienced and will come at your child’s expense. Avoid this school.

Bullying

My child has been bullied at school for months and nothing has been done. When it finally stood up to the bully it was twisted around and my child was made by her class teacher to apologise to bully for telling the honest truth. We have reported that to headteacher who must have had a chat with class teacher as after that my child was bullied by her. We very quickly changed the school and the teacher did not even say goodbye and good luck to my child on last day. During our time there we also heard about other children being bullied but nothing was reported to parents. Looks like anything that happens at school stays at school, is not being reported to parents and just kept under cover so no bad word would come about what is really going on inside. I will never understand how you can be mean to children for telling the truth and fighting for themselves especially if you are a teacher and you are suppose be the example. Would never in my life put any child through what we have experienced.
