very bad school
this school offers no help at all. please do not send your child to this schol. as a student i know how rubbish this school is. the food is so mankey and i often find mold in my sandwices

This school is a massive peice of rubbish bagged up in shit and lit on fire, The teachers treat your child like animals and use the "reflection room" as a form of punishment where they sit in a claustrophobic room doing absolutley nothing , these teachers could get away with murder and kill them all and no one would blink an eye . They care more about tiny silly little nose studs then students mental health my child nearly died. And not to mention the mouldy hairy food the canteen provides and the lack of selection my child has gotten multiple sandwiches with hair or mould in it and students who get lunches provided are starved through first break as the money doesnt go on till second. Teachers have sworn and belittled my child so much her mental health has declined massivley and they do not care at all they will provide one session of talking to and that is it. IF you want your child to succeed do not let them go here. and certain students are able to get away with murder and some could bleed out and they would not care.

Absolutely awful school. Feral students are out of control and get away with bullying as it seems the staff are scared of them and their parents.
The SEN department are just rubbish. The SEN leader has not got a clue about any laws or regulations surrounding EHCPs and SEN.

Racism is rife among some of the students. Homophobia too. And nothing gets dealt with.

Bullying, SEN and achievement they suck
The school are great in the majority of aspects. HOWEVER, their maths and geography departments are appalling. We had a teacher lay on a desk for multiple lessons a week and I taught myself all of the content. They did nothing about behaviour in geography. My maths teacher was almost concerning as he would make uncomfortable comments on people’s bodies and told me (who was predicted 9s) that I was unreachable and terrible as a student.
The thing that aggravated me the most about this school is the way that they deal with bullying.
I had a friend going through an accusation of another student, and they didn’t believe her AT ALL. But then for another they got police involved. They also had a member of staff at pupil services that believed every person that walked in was faking whatever they had going on- I have a care plan so when I was told that my Reasoning for going home was not appropriate I was appalled- and then I threw up everywhere in her office as I was in that much of a state. She also refused a student who had cracked a tooth that was profusely bleeding to go to an emergency dentist as she literally snapped it off.
When it comes to exam prep for SEN it’s also awful. It stated in my care plan that I have to be sat in natural light on my own with purple paper for my exam sheets- they sat me in the main hall for my GCSEs with an overlay and blue paper, which caused several health issues such as going into my exams with a migraine. If you are a high achiever this school loves you, but if you struggle at all you are left to drown.

•I had an awful time at this school as did many people I know. My mental health was ignored. I was in the process of being diagnosed with autism and I stuggles with depression and anxiety to which I received 0 support. Ultimately my case was cancelled because they ignored the emails from my mum in regards to a form they had to fill out.
•They care more about how you dress than if you’re getting bullied or even sexually assaulted apparently.
•The only reason I passed my GCSEs was with externally paid tutors.
•They offer amazing trips for weekends away for older students that only rich families can afford but when it came to organising a prom for everyone in year 11 they put 0 effort in and still charged us £25 to go to a tiny golf club with awful food and music.
•They excluded “under achieving” pupils from prom
•I found out soon after that all my mental health information was stored on the school system when I went to a different sixthform so they clearly just blatantly ignored it all.
Just please I beg you don’t send your children here. The whole experience was belittling and patronising and all and all traumatising.

Also i was threatened with disgusting physical violence, threatening my life with weapons by a pupil who had been warned 11 times by teachers (Shows the behavior of both pupil and teacher) I was told the pupil in question deserved a second chance which is why he was given 11 chances..... Luckily they got rid of the biggest school bully Patrick Buckley who is well known around birchington for it by young and old he had a record of bullying with the school which has been covered up by KES. He is not the only teacher who shows mental abuse toward children, Dominic Cole is a addition to this and another prime example.
Not a school to be proud of, PLEASE AVOID THIS SCHOOL YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR CHILD UNHAPPY.
