Sending a permanent excluded school
My friend from school says that "I got excluded for 3 days for not listening and walking away from teachers and starting fights ETC. I came back, refused isolation, excluded again, lost PC, and to Monday this week, i hit a teacher in the face, booted two girls' legs after they were saying stuff, i thought i was permanently excluded but no i go back Tuesday." There head of year SUCKS ASS they just let in a wanted child back into school...
Really bad school
Absolutely dreadful school would not recommend it for anyone bullying raceisam sexism and homophobia clearly accepted by all staff just an awful school think before you send your child here!!!

The school is racist. they care more about the way you dress than your education. The system is wrong. The school is sexist. Teachers abuse the students. Plus the school is on the sexual assault list.
HORRIBLE and here's why
This school is horrible. I'm a student there currently and for the whole yr I've had 1 stable English teacher, who left recently. we've had teachers after teachers leave and we don't learn anything in the lessons. Bc of this we get told off. It's not our fault we can't learn. DO NOT send your kids here. Unless you want them to not learn anything

Not the best of the schools feels more like a military base than a school. Care more about jellewery and uniform and having things out on desks than the actual education you get.

An amazing 10/10 experience, Love all the teachers and Learning- So good! can't wait for more fun. I remember going to this school in the 70s! Give these fantastic teachers a pay rise!!

Great Facilities
I’ve been at the school since 2017 and since then we’ve had a new animal area built, several fences built, 3 new class rooms in the sixth form, new science labs in the main building, new computers and a general improvement to the school. The school is far from perfect but the facilities are pretty good. Every year something improves and I believe Kirk hallam will be one of the top schools in Derbyshire as time goes on.
Khca is BAD
I was never happy in lessons at kirkhallam. It was like teachers only pretended to care about my mental health, if I had issues with another teacher I was immediately seen as the problem and not listened to when I tried to explain myself because the teachers are "friends". They care more about your uniform than your actual education, pulling students out of lessons for having an earring in that was "too big". It's ridiculous. I remember in year 8 a teacher watched me get harassed by students to the point of tears and didn't step in at all until I left the room, and suddenly I was in the wrong for leaving. You'd get an hours detention for simply being seconds late, I'm not even joking, and as you can imagine this has had many complaints from parents. They don't know how to deal with naughty kids, they just stick them in detention or reset, and it does nothing, because it's always the same kids in there, they don't care, I remember asking why something was a rule, and they responded with "because it just is", unless kids have a valid reason as to why you don't want them to do it, they will proceed, that's just how a child's mind works. ALSO humiliating students who are clearly antisocial for not getting something right was a big problem, which led to them getting made fun of, but if this school really cared about bullying like they say they do, they wouldn't do this type of thing to obviously sensitive children.
Awful school
Extremely awful experience, I was bullied here the staff knew exactly what was going on but told me there was nothing they could do, it got so bad I moved from this school half way through education, would never recommend this place to anyone!

we have supply teachers almost every lesson which is really bad in my opinion and i would say the only good thing about it is my friends tbh. the whole school is terrible and appalling. i wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
Terrible dont bother
Wanna be bullied and develop mental illness from it? This is a school for you! Teachers dont care about you and offer no support at all it was worse under NOVAS rule
Great
I love the packets compared to books, it’s easier for revision and I love the layouts. Lessons can be boring but that’s true for any school, teachers encourage us to work hard and the sport and computing facilities are great.

They do not care about bulling at all. And LS students get special treatment and face no consiquences for there behaviour. Students are not equal and they very much allow homophobia racism sexism and so on. This school and teachers 100 percent do NOT care

Bruh, the things I could say about this school. Anti-bullying? Not a thing there. Teachers? Dreadful. Overall? Horrendous. Only decent part? My bloody mates. Only recommend if you are a severe masochist.

it’s improving since the last head teacher but the lack of wall displays and clocks make it feel like you’re in prison everyday as each room is exactly the same
Horrible school
Badly bullied by both students and staff ,I have a disability called asd and my mum repeatedly when for meetings nothing changed so I spend most times spent in isolation due to high stress and anxiety
