They only focus on what the children are wearing the the support they give them. If you have a sen child then this isn’t the right place for you because there is not enough support for them and the school can get support through funding if your child has an EHCP but if they also require one to one or someone to work with them in class forget it. My child is a sen child and the support she has been given is shit. Can not wait for her to leave that school if it wasn’t for her GCSEs she wouldn’t be in that school. Also if your child had been bullied and keeps reporting these bullies the school won’t do anything about it at all it took my child a year before they sorted it all out and now she doesn’t feel safe in the school. So I wouldn’t personally Dylan’s your child there

DO NOT SEND UR CHILDREN HERE this school is like a prison if u do not have correct uniform on u will be placed in isolation all day with just a homework booklet, attendance team are rude they expect u to come into school even if u have been sick the day before, the toilets are horrible always food in them , such as sandwiches and cakes and empty water bottles, tissues everywhere all over the floor, none off the teachers listen to u if u need to talk to a teacher about ur anxiety or ur mental health they will just send u back to ur lesson, rules are strict such as not being able to wear a coat inside the building when it is freezing in winter u will be issued a detention if u are seen with one on, and and the most ridiculous rule is not being able to use the toilet when ever u need to go, i cant help it if im on my period and need to go toilet, education here is poor staff members dont know how to control a lesson properly or teach it, the food is also bad and never enough food to feed everyone at break time, have to que up outside at break and lunchtime to get in, when its raining, always food on tables and rubbish everywhere. Do not send ur child here

Worst school, get punished for stupid things, don't take care of serious problems. Had supply for the whole year. Form tutor being rude to kids and making them cry.

A lot of bullying that isn't handles correctly, mostly to the point it still isn't dealt with after parents phone up or go in to speak with the school. Homophobia not dealt with correctly.

the school was under budgeted by over half of the stated amount, the top row of rooms were always way too cold to be in to the point teachers told us to wear coats. we had a supply almost every other lesson and never really had a secure form tutor since year 7. the discipline system is guilty to proven innocent and has been criticised by many official people who work with children and by teachers who work there. as a whole there was a decent amount of bullying and drugs going around the school form year 8 onwards and the staff never handled those situations properly. it was a pretty terrible experience and has left me with some mental problems when it comes to small rooms, they have two outside bungalows with no heating and exposed wires which students can be placed in there for up to 8 hours with no mental stimulation and you have to copy from an old text book which denys students the option to study for their exams/tests. overall i’d say avoid this school with all costs and send your child to west park secondary school
