Okay School

Leighton Park is an average school. Buildings are dilapidated and therefore lack heating and insulation. There is no fixed common area for Years 10 and 11 while Years 7-9 and 12-13 have a common room or building to relax in during recess. Leighton Park is a safe school. Teachers are a lottery, with younger and less experienced teachers being kinder and more caring, while more experienced teachers care less about their students and care more to the school's publicity. Food is of average quality with a variety of options to suit everyone's needs, but some meals, especially dinner, can be a bit questionable. Snacks can be fine with a cake/alternative snack and a piece of fruit on sugar-free feast days. The culture at the school is very diverse and always accepted. Because it is an international school, many festivals are held. The school adheres to Quaker ethos, but the school repeatedly violates these values. Students excel at Leighton Park, with most students scoring 7-9 at GCSEs and As at A-Level. The outdoor spaces in Leighton Park are especially great because they make you forget you're in a bustling city and make you think you're somewhere in the countryside. The activities on offer are excellent and there is something for everyone. Bullying is not handled particularly well because there is no definitive policy on behavior. The school has a zero tolerance policy towards racism, homophobia and bullying, but this zero tolerance policy is rarely followed with some punishment for it. Rights are not equal in Leighton Park although equality is a Quaker value. There is a wide variety of sports on offer at Leighton Park for boys, girls and people of the opposite sex. Sports teachers are supportive and comfortable. Sports teachers are also experts in most sports and make sports fun even if you don't like sports. The Code of Conduct is ambiguous and contains many contradictions.
