Lochside Academy

Lochside Academy is probably the worst school you can send your kids to. Firstly, the drug and alcohol use is worrying. People vape and smoke in the disabled toilets. Speaking of toilets they are usually LOCKED throughout the WHOLE DAY. This has to be a joke. Staff got so much complaints about it but ditch the subject and would rather keep talking about equality and respect which most students here dont have. Teachers are lazy and don’t support to the best of their ability and there’s bullies EVERYWHERE and nothing gets done about it. If you send your kid here their spark is gone.

Decent school I'm an S1 and I have joined lochside not Long ago. I think it a ok school teacher are fine but there are a lot of substitutes. Some time people in the class are quite disruptive and canteen food is great and over all decent. ??

no good teachers they have no respect for any students i would not reccomend putting your child too this school and also if they get into a fight the teachers only come when the fight is over and most of the time students are not held accountable for their actions 0/10

Lochside is really bad all my friends say they want to get ran over by a semi truck and go to hell whenever they go to Lochside if you send your children there I will cry, they will cry children don’t deserve that ugly fugly disgusting school

Useless school, children are always doing drugs and smoking. My kid got gonorrhoea and HIV from this school! Embarrassing!

If I could give zero stars I would! Avoid this school if at all possible. No control or discipline therefore pupils can do what they want. Zero action taking on bullying. No equal opportunities for pupils.

Lochside is not a good school sometimes there are multiple fights in 1 day, I go to this school and by the end of my first year I only had 3 teachers for the entire year

The school needs to be shut down or investigated the teachers are inappropriate, you get no help what so ever and most of the time you are left to you own devices if the teachers don't like you. When you report some thing it goes round the school (teachers) just around negative environment!

No words to explain how bad this school really is & the sad thing is it’s common knowledge! WOW! I hate to write it but it’s only a matter of time before something terrible happens.

This school is shocking more like a prison or the wild west! The teachers are managing bad behaviour rather than teaching the children. Altens/Cove parents have been severely let down with this so called super school not to mention the children being let down! If you have a choice DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL. The level of violence in this school is questionable. Aberdeen City Council really did a number here. You have children from wealthy backgrounds merging with children who have nothing like a perfect storm! No parent should ever get a call from their child’s school saying they can not keep your child safe walking between classes!!! NEVER experienced anything like it. They make the good kids victims with safety plans /cards to allow them from class to move to the next class before the bell goes, take their breaks early & in SAFE zones! Traumatic experience to say the least. We removed our child from this very poor school. Might look great state of the art etc. Looks aren’t always what they appear to be.10% of the students are in nurture classes 3 times a week away from the curriculum teaching them how to deal with bullies. Absolute joke of a school!

teachers are so bad at teaching and set you up to fail your prelims unless you want to teach yourself. literally the worst and will constantly send letters home at every opportunity they get.

All the other teachers are rude, disrespectful and inappropriate.
