Lostock High School

As a former student there, it has been the worst experience of my life, the teachers don't even teach, they just hand out punishments because another student distracted another, no real help besides google, the exams are horrible the students are extremely extremely disrespectful. Oh did i mention that students carry around knives? I have seen more kids in isolation then in the actual class, this school will never help you pass your exams, your stressed about the teachers giving you detentions and worried for your life because you may be robbed, horrible school, horrible management, and i hope this school dissolves because it is just a building filled with crimes.

If you want entertainment come here. Stuff being threw across the room. Kids being battered. Lostock has it all Source: my experience

Being a student there is honestly hell, the place is poorly maintained, janitors maybe clean one room or two rooms a term, there are some decent staff members but they’re all leaving because of mistreatment, the head teacher is rather blind or will fully ignorant to the problems the school has. You can barely learn in lesson as the teachers (if they’re not a supply teacher like they usually are) have absolutely no control over the students, they have no sense of order in place and when students are given a punishment for their behaviour it’s up to them to even go. Overall I wouldn’t want to send the child of my worst enemy here.

If you want entertainment, youve found the right place - Pencil trays being dashed acrossed the rooms, phones being flung out of multi storey buildings. Oh and dont get me started on the rage and roaring sessions. If you want hollywood level entertainment. Oh boy have you found the right place. SOURCE: My experience

Tables flipped everyday,, made students cry funny stuff loved every minute, roaring sessions I remember to this day needed ear muffs. People got chucked out for drugs an dat. Fatty bacon.

I wouldn't recommend your child coming to this school. The other review called 'Miles better', I wouldn't be surprised if they got paid by one of the teachers or staff to say that. The new headteacher isn't 'leaps and bounds compared to the last', if anything the new headteacher will have to go through leaps and bounds to keep the school afloat. The toilets 'are being maintained', which ones? The ones that they put right next to the food department. Have they heard of hygiene? 'Teachers in each department are all very good', that's probably why a lot have left and some want to leave now. Some classes have had supply teachers for the whole academic year and some don't even bother to come into school. Overall, not a better school and I would not recommend.
