A fabulous school for all!

What a fabulous High School and Sixth-Form College. Our daughter has many complex needs including being a full-time wheelchair user, spina bifida, hydrocephalus, mitroffanof, colostomy, ASD, mental health issues and extreme anxiety. The school have bent over backwards and have supported her for 5 yrs and she left in June 21 with 8 GCSE all grade 5/6. For the past 2 years in Sixth-form she has completed A Levels and BTECs again with the correct support and a very balanced amount of 1-1s and in class support. When there were small hiccups i only needed to call or email and everything was dealt with swiftly and without drama. I cannot rate Malbank highly enough. Odd thing is that this wasn't the school she was meant to go to.... She should have attended Shavington but they refused her a place despite us appealing due to her being a wheelchair user and the disabled toilet was used for staff and would be inconvenient for it to be used by a real disabled person. She chose Malbank last minute and it was the best decision ever. She has won so many awards and her latest was for inclusion and basically trailblazing to help others. She has been in every show and production and they even built the set around her needs. She has been to every after school club she wanted to and was included in everything.
I wish her time there could be done all over again. None of us want to say goodbye to this amazing place.
Thanks to all Malbank staff and students who have made the past 7 yrs a fantastic experience for our daughter.

One of the worst.

If i could review Malbank minus stars, i would without a doubt. It was one of my worst decisions ever deciding to go there. Almost all of the teachers are inadequate to teach, besides an odd few - they dont care about the students mental health. The school cares more about appearance rather than actual teaching. Its appauling to say the least.

It was okay, didn’t stay for sixth form

Recently left, it was okay but I had friends who didn’t get the support they needed/deserved with their academics.

Some teachers were wonderful some were pretty poor.

Serious issues with bullying.

doesn’t care about it’s students

school doesn’t care at all for mental health of students, doesn’t care about teaching sex ed, isn’t inclusive of everyone

social distancing down low

everyone goes past eachother in different years when we should only be in contact with our own years / year12 and year13 in one bubble. a year 13 tested positive yet only a couple got told to isolate when they don’t know whose been near them. this is creating more risk within all students in the sixth form block.
