Worst school

If you want your child to do well in school this isn’t the school for them, if you want your child to have good mental health then this isn’t the school for them, if you want your child to not be a victim of bullying from pupils or teachers then this isn’t the school for them, as a mother of a child that’s been to this school I would definitely not send them there if I knew what I know now I would have never chose this school, if you want to sit everyday worried about what call your gonna get next or what your child is going to say about pupils or teachers then go for it but the things you will go through while your child is at this school will mess with your child and your mental health, the anxiety everyday was so bad, I’ve seen a lot of self harm happens there and nothing gets resolved just brushed under the carpet, if you want your child to have a great school life please don’t choose this school, you will regret this decision and spend five years counting down the days till they leave just for relief, it will be the worst five years of your child’s and your life for anxiety issues and you will get no voice to get help.

Preposterous.

The education system at maltby academy is Standard. No problems with it, but it isn’t mind blowing. Bullying always seems to interrupt education with pressure, rebelling to fit in, and anxiety affecting your concentration. With this in mind you would think maltby academy would step in and sort it out. No. Maltby academy’s Anti bullying system is: invasive, Unhelpful and never the less disappointing. Surprisingly so, Maltby academy Staff claim that they don’t think they disappoint Parents and children who have dealt with Bullying. How maltby academy feel they resolve a situation they will take students out in groups or individually and explain to a student how it is not acceptable. What i think isn’t acceptable is how during these discussions they will Say the victim of bullying’s name Making this pupil an even larger target of bullying. Also, When students are being spoken to when they have made a wrong decision minor or serious Even with a classroom door closed you can hear members of staff Screaming at a student. Most parents don’t speak to there children in this manor so i don’t see why maltby academy teachers feel that it’s acceptable for them to do so. Maltby Academy have even said that they have “so many students to deal with that they can’t deal with everything” I think and so does many others that a school should not be ran if cant be handled. Other all the issues i have discussed are quite severe in my opinion and need to be jumped on quickly.

Outrageous!!

Absolutely shocking they aren't good with dealing with bullying nor are they good at knowing basic details like when someone has free school meals and charging them for food and them only having a sandwich for the entire day, they shout at the students instead of speaking with them which is unprofessional and just down right wrong, their ofsted says its a good school but it's never being outstanding because of the lack of staffs respect and accountability they show.
They take out the kids that are being bullied out of school and keep the bullies inside school, they can't give the right information to new year 7s and this is from multiple different students experiences and it needs to be addressed!

It’s meh

The staff are alright and I’ve gotten help for my mental health and school work, just could be better in terms of the grounds and stuff.

Not that bad. I’m year eleven, so it’s pretty tough, but it’s good.
