i know this school bad so dont send your kid here when i was here i got bullied and they dont do anything about it one of my teachers swore at me and pushed me over send your kid to a diffrent school even if this school is close stay safe out there

i go to maltings and there are fights 24/7 dont take your children here im begging you!! i hope a teacher doesnt tell me of for writing this

Overall, a semi-decent secondary school. Understandably, not everybody has the greatest of experiences in school but I wouldn’t let it distract that the school does have some amazing facilities and activities. The school is sports and science oriented so they have hundreds of different sporting themed apparatus, and they also have a specially dedicated science storage room where they hold numerous different science related products and practicals. There used to be one issue, the old principal (left in 2016 I believe) would tell students that generally misbehave, to not come into school when Ofsted was due to review. This has somewhat tampered the Ofsted report so be sure to do your own research when sending your children to this school.
Worst school in the area
I went to this school in 2015-2016, I only had just started the school when the teachers were physically and verbally abusing me. Once the pupils started to pick up on it they started on me. I had reported to the teachers about the bullying but they didn’t do anything about it. Within the first month of starting I had been off twice for medical reasons and they had told me that I need to keep going to school even if I was not well enough to attend. Once I was taken out of the school the teachers were still contacting me and sending me work to complete and to return back to the school. I would definitely not recommend this school.
Don’t send you children here
I went to this school from 2015-2016 and in that short period of time I was physically and verbally abused and builder by both teachers and pupils. Once I left the teachers kept harassing me by sending me work and saying if I didn’t do it and return back to the school by the following Monday. I would be in detention until I leave the school in 2020.
Don't send your kid here
My brother went here and he was verbally and physically bullied but they so much wusses that they wouldn't deal with it. It got so bad the he couldn't leave the house and the one Time he did he got beaten up. We had to get the police involved and we now have a restraining order against the kid and we will never recommend going to maltings to our friends

Pretty much all of the teachers have left they blame the students for the teachers leaving. Some of the teachers are lovely but that’s only a few of them the rest of them i’m sure are only there to get a bit of money and have a somewhat income to live off. Not allowed to go to the toilets during class and when you ask they said well why didn’t you go at break or lunch but at break and lunch there are only 6 male and 6 female toilets open for the whole school to use in the period of 20 minutes at break maybe 10 if you decide to get food and 35 minutes at lunch and possibly 20 minutes depending on the day queue lines etc, please keep in mind there are about 900 odd kids in the school too well 900 on a good day anyway. I have also overheard a teacher not in a joking way or anything call a student a narcissist for brushing her hair i don’t see how she was but that teacher who called the poor girl that wasn’t punished or anything by what i have heard.
Due to the staff leaving there has been lessons in the food hall consisting of 2 different years learning a lesson both of the years doing completely different subjects to each other which i personally think will have an affect on the learning they get as it’s 60 kids and 1 teacher which i feel is wrong and especially because that teacher didn’t know what one of the years were learning.
