It's really overcrowded, loud , busy , rude teachers and dirty tbh. Uniform is mid and you have to ask to take off your blazer , random bag searches when you go into the bathroom , boring long lessons, hate Mrs brear (french teacher) she hates me
wouldn't force my worst enemy to endure this place
was bullied for years, teachers couldn't care less. they only put a stop to it when one of the boys threatened to *do bad things to me*. a number of my friends were victims of the same behaviour. the food is often raw and the water is sometimes rancid. if you want your kids to be mentally healthy, please please don't send them here.
Tbh this is probably going to be a long review. I joined in year 9 after leaving my previous school after being bullied for 2 years. Obviously being on an island everyone knows everyone. On my first week I got attacked my a girl I didn’t even know , she did it for popularity . School was fully swear yet did nothing on the matter , they even saw it on cameras ect .
You can get away with anything in that school , everyone I know including me knew how to break the rules and the teachers couldn’t really care apart from the odd one or two.
I had 0 help when it came to my gcse and knew I was going to fail English as my English teacher was biased. I got a grade 3 after begging to be changed teacher or someone else to mark it which they wouldn’t. I even cheated on a paper (don’t advise cheating but I wanted to prove a point) it was a grade 9 answer and I got pulled out for a meeting with my dad about it which I didn’t confess I did cheat as it was embarrassing but she also graded it a 2!
Wish I could name the teacher but can’t. I’m now in an apprenticeship with a pass in English from doing a mock test (just need to sit it) honestly the teacher do not care about weather you pass or not!
Hated it, teachers were selfish, failed me in education badly when i was predicted to pass everything and didn’t pass one single GCSE.. The other students weren’t bad exactly how you’d expect it to be in a secondary school, but the school was dirty, gum, dust, dirt everywhere.. uni sex toilets were hell! boys used to unlock girls doors and boys would pee in the sinks and on the floors. the food was nice tho, especially the pasta meals. but the teachers were just moody and looked like they only wanted to be there for the money and not to actually help the students. would be better if the staff actually wanted to be there!
The teachers are great. The bathrooms are disgusting and place is friendly. I would recommend but those people who join on their own can suffer quite bad. There is writing on the walls and tables and gum everywhere. Apart from that the school is great 👍
A decent school you'll come out with your year being like a family but it's quite rough.bullying can happen in front of a teacher and the school will not deal with it.fights happen alot.when I was there they didnt properly deal with a boy groping a girl.they also stopped so many people getting help for mental conditions that they clearly had.once the headmistress after an assembly on mental health told off yr 10 and9 for acting innapropratley and then blamed us for a girl committing suicide.this all happened in front of her friends who were distraught.
I originally came here in year 7 but left within the month.
The teachers could not care less about the school! They’re rude, selfish, their teaching is awful and they don’t care about the welfare of anyone!
Not to mention the buildings are falling to pieces and they’re disgusting, both inside and out; a vile school.
Just my opinion, and looking out for others who are interested in sending their children to this dump.
It's a OK school, with good staff but they do absolutely nothing to help the people being bullied and verbally abused this also includes the teachers. Bathrooms are rubbish to say the least, the doors are kicked in and it's a mess.these need replacing.
Been here 2-3 years
First month I had a lot of problems and nobody even knew me
But now I can talk to anyone and have a good civil conversation
Honestly depends on the child but school is supportive
