Montsaye is rubbish

Right so this school worries about all the uniforms , behaviour, and all sorts of stuff but what they don’t worry about is there OFSTED report , bullying, racism, homophobia. And they do nothing about it all, I just saw on bbc news that a parents child was of school for 4 months? Because of bullying and the school has done nothing about it all?

Bad school!

I think this school needs better rules and they need to get better staff other than teachers who dont care about your mental health and need to actually do something when a pupil needs help with bullying.

Mental health!

Please do not send your children to this school if you want their mental health to be supported. I have never experienced anything like it, they lied to my son (year 9) that his dad refused him to come home poorly from school, when they hadn’t even spoken to his dad about him coming home. I had left 2 messages giving permission & it took 2 hours for the school to respond to then be told it’s my fault it took hours for a response as I kept trying to contact them? My son isn’t well and would like him to come home, I give permission. (He’s allows to walk home) mental health days are held at this school, yet we was told my son is always trying to come home & they told him that his dad said to go back to lesson which wasn’t the case as they didn’t say anything about him wanting to come home.

Today was the first day we was made l aware of this being a regular issue.
My son did come home in the end but took 2 and half hours and I was blamed! I have a 16 year old daughter who was in this school from years 7-11 & who left early (june2023) and couldn’t attend leavers assembly due to having major spinal surgery, the school Is fully aware of our circumstances and knew I couldn’t come to the school to collect him, so blaming me for them no answering over a 2 hour period where 2 message were left, it’s completely and utterly disgusting!

Do not recommend

Most of the staff at this school do not care about the pupils mental health, the only thing they care about is the colour of someones hair more than the students grades

Unacceptable Behaviour

I have had several montsaye come up to my house, (I live directly across the street from the academy) and they shove sexual toys through my post box, i am appalled as i came home to my dog chewing on it like a chew toy. this is unacceptable for a school

Terrible School

Montsaye Academy is the worst school to go to. The teachers are horrible and don't know what they're talking about and they always lie to parents and students. The food isnt cooked at all. That school gave me severe anxiety and depression and instead of trying to help
me with it the pastoral team did nothing to help even though they "care about students wellbeing".

Has improved significantly...

This school has changed A LOT over the 7 years that I have been there. The new head teacher is good for the school, as much as I don’t agree with all of her decisions, I do think that she has done a lot for the school and it continues to improve. The school has dealt amazingly well with COVID and I cannot be more grateful for that. Although I wasn’t happy with my GCSE results from this school, i am a lot more confident with my A-levels.

A Good School

Good school. Has improved tenfold since the new headmistress took over. All members of staff are willing to help students with any problems. However not the best at handling bullying.

Bullying

This school does not handle problems well at all. When children are bullied they do the minimal and usually ends in the bully getting special treatment and the victim treated as though they’ve done something wrong.
