Didn't deserve the rainbow flag award
I am a pupil at Treorchy and it is genuinely a super transphobic and homophobic school. My friend, who is trans, has been deadnamed more times than I can count, yet the school took no action to stop it, instead telling my friend that his bullies are "just confused" despite the fact that there have been multiple cases and reports against the same bellends; and some of these people never met him pre transition. Also, the school neglect disabled students. The school ignored another friend's idp on multiple occasions (I'm not sure they follow it now). Another friend of mine is on a waiting list for an autism/ADHD assessment and gets the same accommodations as a diagnosed person, but when she asked the school if an idp could help her she was told she didn't need one and that there were notes on classcharts on how to help her and other neurodivergent students if needed, however all neurodivergent people have different needs so an idp could be useful as it's specific information for individual children.
rat uprising
the rats in block 8 toilets escaped and started eating the flesh of the young aswell as disguising themselves as chicken burgers. they had to get rid of d mount because the rats were breeding and were the size of 3 newborns

honestly a horrible school. did not care that i was getting bullied from year 8-10, cares more about your attendance than your well-being, teachers don’t try to get you help even when you ask for it.
worst 6th form EVER!!! doesn’t give enough information on the newer subjects, almost impossible to switch subjects, you miss one day? might aswell drop out! the teachers like to say, i had to drop out myself due to the mental health problems that school gave me. they do not give a f*** about their students! (unless you’re a straight A student)

Furries
In 2021 all they cared about was colour of hair, jackets can’t be branded etc, fast forward to 2024 and children are coming to school dressed as cats and dogs with litter trays, some of these kids (sorry cats) have Tik Tok accounts where they talk about eating organs
Past pupil to staff member
Aside from a few teachers/staff who actually take the time to listen to pupils and care about their wellbeing - this school cares more about good attendance & stats than the mental well-being of the pupils. Standing up for yourself is regarded as “talking back”.
Most teachers (mostly heads of year) feel the need to scream in your face rather than just sitting down with you and asking “is everything ok?”.
Nothing has changed for the period of time that I also worked in the school as a member of staff with the pupils who required additional support. I would often catch staff rolling their eyes at me over a challenging pupil’s behaviour or bad talk them in the staff room. These were pupils with ADHD/Autism and other areas that required additional support. If you’re not passionate about your job and helping these kids, find a new profession!

WOKE MADNESS
Turned my son into a total woke wimp. He was a bright young boy but was indoctrinated by woke leftie teachers. He believes there's more than two genders and cries if you tell him a fact that there are only two genders. If you want your kids to fail then send them here. Ignore parents complaining
Worst school in the rhondda
Absolutley awful school, teachers do nothing about the constant bullying. Teachers are not supportive. I am considering moving my children from the school. As its totally out of control down there. My daughter had pictures taken of her while she was changing and they was shared around the school and all over the internet, I was told this would have to happen about 9 or 10 times before its classed as bullying. Seriously if u have an option for a different school please take that option. The school is totally not worth ruining your childs mental health.

This school is Aful I got bullied by multiple people the head teacher of the school speaks to the kids like there five the kids are all Bullys I would never ever recommend this school if your thinking of sending your kid here DON'T the teachers treat u Aful there is no support of any teachers and the food is Aful

Not very supportive, bullying is never handled effectively. Pupils are not allowed to access toilets during class which I find ridiculous, that’s a deprivation of a human right. Earrings, hair colour and sock colour are more of a concern than quality of work.

The school cares more about hair cuts and make up than anything else and don't know how to look after the pupils properly

the school is good, no shitty buildings or anything. but their views are not in the right place AT ALL. they take more care of someone wearing too big earnings or who had a lip piercing or a tattoo or their haircut is too short more than they take care of the bullies and people who need to be dealt with. OR THE PEOPLE W MENTAL HEALT DISORDERS. learn to take fucking care, not just compete with other schools for ranks twats. i’ve come out with depression and anxiety all because you can’t fucking control anyone
