This school ruined my life

This school made my extremely suicidal there is this asshole who beats me up and I get in trouble because the staff are too busy laying their asses and putting me on isolation when I was beaten up . A teacher named Mr bhura said I'm gonna get expelled and keeps shouting at me that bastard and also other teachers do that. My previous English teacher was lying that I said a racist word and also lied that I told her to "die" and the English teacher I have now gives me detention for nothing and my maths teacher made me leave the god damn class just because I asked help I don't recommend this crappy school don't bring Ur kids here

A very poor school not good

This school is very poor I am a student and there's a rude kid who bullies me and gets away with it and get this: that boy bullies me and get into trouble. Also I barely learn anything and the staff are so rude and I heard one teacher swear and I was very shocked. And once they gave me an isolation for no reason. This school is hell . I don't recommend this school. TRUST ME DON'T BRING YOUR KIDS HERE!!!!

Terrible school

Do not send your children too this school!!! For several years now the teachers have had no control over its pupils, new Headmaster loves himself more than his position.
Terrible bullying situation there where teachers openly state they are struggling with certain years.
Cattering food prices have majorly increased since new menu and the water fountains have mould like fungus or don't work.
Your child will hardly learn in class as the teachers spend most of their time trying to stop the naughty kids!
So I your contemplating this school as an option DONT....

A lovely, small, friendly school

Mount Grace has teachers that go the extra mile. The new headteacher is bringing in positive changes and I find all the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The music and drama performances are genuinely amazing, the grounds are beautiful and the pastoral team are genuine and caring. I'd recommend a viewing of the school, it sells itself. The old Ofsted rating does not reflect the school currently.

A Warning.

As someone who will soon be leaving Mount Grace as a Sixth Former I truly must advise parents and children to avoid at all costs, through years 7 - 11, For me personally there were serious issues with the maths department, and while I loved other subjects such as English (due to great teachers in my opinion), the bad experiences probably overtake the good.
When I started at Mount Grace the Headteacher was a wonderful man called Mr Baker, but since he retired I believe and so do many others believe the school has been affected by poor decisions made by poor leadership . The School who has now introduced a new headteacher Mr Ali who has clearly been brought in to try and save the schools drowning reputation and improving its ofsted rating, has already implemented the removal of phones with students which is utterly ridiculous and pointless and with him seemingly having some kind of god complex I’m worried about the road he will lead the school down.
Another major issue with the school is the food offered to students, the selection and quality is appalling with pricing that is similarly appalling, in these past two years of sixth form I’ve often taken up packed lunched as I’ve become more health aware.
Overall Mount Grace will show off its shiny new sports facilities (once they are finished) and it’s shiny new head teacher to show how much it’s improved but trust me it’s not, I would say the opposite as the amount of issues are too large to list.
Parents, I implore you to Look at other options for your children.

Mount Grace is awful

This school is awful!! Ruined my mental health after being extremely suicidal. They made me go into assembly when I was shaking as if i was having a fit and was humiliated in front of the entire school. It is severely damaged by many poor safe guarding staff that do nothing to keep their students safe. It needs to be shut done.

A good school

I went to this school from years 7 - 13 and the amount of teacher and management changes were frequent which definitely effected the quality of education for all students as well as staff.

The school has great grounds and good classrooms however has some shortage in some equipment which is mostly due to funding.

The use of online learning is something that Mount Grace uses and is a very effective way of teaching different ability students.

The most recent change in Headteacher is definitely for the best as many improvements have already been implemented however I hope they make improvements to the maths department which has seen majority of staff changes.

The English department is one of the best I have seen and have the best quality of teaching throughout the school.

One of the schools best quality’s is the performing arts departments (Drama & Dance) with professional quality sound, lighting and stage, perfect for aspiring performers.

Mount Grace offers BTEC subjects which others don’t and this is definitely useful as GCSE and A-level as it gives students more option.
