Very happy so far!
Our child started at Vanguard this year, and despite initially feeling wary due to having seen bad reviews, our experience over the past 3 months has been really positive. Vanguard staff have taken the time to really get to know our child as a person and understand their needs, communication has been excellent, support has been carefully tailored to our child's needs, and the few concerns we have raised (regarding interactions between our child and another pupil) have been taken seriously and responded to appropriately. Their most recent Ofsted inspection in summer 2025 gave the school a 'good' rating in all categories, and this is in line with our experience of the school. We're very happy so far.
Not fit for purpose
Currently have a child who attends this inadequate school. The new head has no concept of autism, doesn't listen to his staff who actually know a lot more and have a better understanding of the children than he does. He's unable to retain staff. The relentless bullying and vulgar language from some students is reprehensible. I could go on...
