The food. You do have quite a few options but they're mainly pastries and breads and not much healthy things, like sausage rolls, bacon rolls, pizza slices, Paninis, you do get pasta and or spaghetti which is half decent and on Wednesdays they do chips they're gone in about 20 minutes. The prices though are abit rubbish. 1 chocolate cookie for 40p which is the size of my 6yr old brothers hand palm. I could bring a pack lunch with a whole pack of cookies for like £1 and have 20 cookies but in the canteen it's £1for 2 cookies, prices r stupid parents already have to pay a fortune for uniform then scamming us out of lunch money. On average meals comes to about £2 for break then another £2 for lunch, about a fiver every day for a normal school lunch The education is alright if they've been working there for a while but the substitutes r a nightmare. i had english one with a tall dark buffed up man and some kids where playing around and they burst in and said i need a pencil trying to be funny and he immediately got up and got in their faces saying dont come in my face like that when they werent they were at the door no where near the desk and they stepped outside the door and they were saying what r u gonna do such and such and he was not backing down the teacher was slapping his chest shouting come at me come I dare u to touch me. I was so scared sitting in my chair with my friends I went quite . They left and about 30 minutes into the lesson he hadn't done the register and we were silent reading and I asked if he could do it as i didnt want to get marked not here and he said later but he was ,want to ages ago! Its goverment documents. I kept asking him and I ended up getting a c3 as he felt i was annoying him. Im sorry I'm just making sure my attendance doesn't go down bc of you and everyone gets marked here and not 10 teachers have to walk around the building looking for us when we r acc in the classroom?so then got a c3 which is relocation to another room and detention the next day. But before I got sent out he brought up the kids again and I said if u was to hit them do u think that would be right and he said yes?!?!? Because it's 'self defence' how. He said if a kid touches me I can hit them back . no?!?! Thats assault?!?! Your a grown man wanting to hit kids. He ended up calling head of year and we could all see he was so nervous trying to explain himself while the rest of us tried telling the head he was threating to hit kids. He ended up being okay and got away with it for the rest of the lesson (register wasn't signed btw at the end) but must say one the worst experience ever. oh and he hasn't come back ever since that day. So teachers r okay , subs r scary, foods over priced along w uniform, BUT BULLYING. They don't care theyll have a chat with both of u but won't put the bully is inclusion or any sort of punishment even if it's completely their entire fault. Messed up school wouldn't recommend but tbf all schools can be like this but this one is the worst, would recommended home schooling for the safety of your child .

My experience in this school is absolutely horrific, the teachers do nothing if you are getting bullied, the teachers in send told us that they would close send down and force us all back to lessons. All the teachers are leaving which means we have substitutes mosty all of our lessons and the substitutes are horrible to the students and call them names and swear at students. i would not recommend this school to anyone it is horrible!!!!

i currently attend nwa, and have been bullied non stop since i have started, after the first incident they put me back into mainstream and the same thing occurred, but even worse this time. a teacher tried to deal with my incident and then got fed up with it and asked someone else to deal with it. i am now being forced into mainstream. recently me and my friends are being picked on and we said ONE thing back and got put into seclusion and the bullies got nothing done to them. i wouldnt recomend this school to anyone!!!!!!!

Food most of the time is cold or raw and also my mate has had food poisoning from the canteen multiple times. Only 2% of teachers make lessons engaging and most of them left.

Absolute L school, especially if you have ever needed to go to the toilet.

I have been kicked out of this school for sticking up for myself against a bully, they do absolutely nothing to the bully’s but soon as someone turns around and sticks up to there self’s they don’t like it. They have no respect towards the kids, but the kids have no respect for the teachers either it’s a battle everyday at that school. The head teacher would rather be your best buddy than a head teacher. They have moved me to Thomas Clarkson academy which I am very excited to go to. Hopefully I can get the respect and grades that I would had never gotten at that school.

The school is trying to make positive changes, however, there has been a significant decline since the previous Head of School left, when it was accredited a 'Good' Ofsted status from it previous 'Requires Improvement' status. Subsequently,this Requires Improvement status has returned under the new Head of School. The school is top heavy with management who are attempting to introduce significant changes without viewing the larger picture or being given clear guidance and future vision from the current Head of School. This leads to ineffective behaviour policies being introduced which do not address the underlying causation of behaviours, attendance or mental well-being. Unfortunately, many quality teachers and support staff leave after a short period at the Academy due to inconsistencies and lack of support from management.
I personally would not send my child there if there is an alternative, however, now the school is under the Ofsted gaze I'm sure improvements will be implemented but question the longevity of these changes.

Heard NWA Yr 11 students ha da day where peoples track and trace apps kept giving them messages. And no one did anything about it and all kids are still attending school! Outrage!!
