Racism
Recently the school sent an email about ‘Eid’ they also but that in brackets. I don’t know how wrote it but I can tell u that they are rude and disrespectful. Eid may not be a ‘holiday’ but it is a VERY special occasion for some people. They definitely could have wrote it nicer. Don’t worry there is more than writing a review that’s gonna stop this. There’s a whole groupchat that’s talking about this and we will make sure u learnt ur lesson!!!!!

It is shocking there they do nothing about bullying in fact they side with the bullies they don’t care about mental health and everything you here about it is 10 times worse than what it is made out to be there is only a handful of good teachers who mainly have left since I have left and I didn’t get many of my predicted grades due to the lack of proper subject teachers I wouldn’t recommend considering this school as an option

Absolutely disgusting place. They care more about a 14 year old sexual assaulter than they do a 10 year old boy that had nothing to do with the situation. I hope they all drop dead.

What is wrong with some teachers? Like a pe teacher (my friend told me) he said "Come on girls hurry up or ill lock you in the changing rooms" Like sorry what?

I honestly miss my old teacher a lot and then theres this teacher for english and she lets all the students do whatever they want like they can shout and scream , mess around and she wont say anything about it .we went to assembly and she let us go by ourselves and came like 5 mins after us...they were literally ripping out stuff from the dictonary and one of the guys sat on my friends BOOK.. you cant even like wear any jewellery because it gets 'stuck' they tell us stuff like that , that happened like ages ago . I dont get why for everything they have to give us detention but its like if i try to tell a sub or a diff teacher abt how someone swore at me or something they dont believe me . Like this girl has stolen so many things from me and when i tried to tell no one really cared
racism and homophobia
Literally have dealt with so many homophobic slurs and language , its so toxic and teachers dont do anything abt it , especially racism . i try to tell the teacher and the person makes up a lie . literally terrible , probably moving soon anyway because people are so disgusting , just the way they act and speak is horrible .<3
Dont go to this school..
Probably would give it 0 stars.. 1hr 40 mins might be better as people wanted to change the lessons but it can just get boring at certain points,some teachers dont make the lesson fun at all sometimes theres a lot to remember and i mean a lot . in the toilets there are so many people that vape and draw on walls and just mess about and the homophobic language and racist language and so on is just so disgusting and bad . like some teachers would not do anything about it . a few days ago this girl had her phone out around at 5 times and no one told her off, until i did and she just starting shouting at me and said that im trying to make her look bad and all that stuff. rumours spread so easily too . the food is just beyond expensive.. yeah the people are paying a lot of money to buy stuff and need the money back but like for a slice of pizza its like 1.50 or 1.80 .. when i could buy a whole pizza for 2 pounds or something.. and i feel like longer breaks would be better. they send us late and we have to go in 5 minutes early. the students are just rude too . and teachers give detentions sometimes for like no reason or the tiniest thing . Its so funny how you need to get a pass for your period like why would you need one if youre like literally bursting . its a girl thing and you shouldnt need a pass its actually silly/dumb like what you dont believe that the child has their period or what? "you shouldve went at break" im so sorry that i cant control my bladder .
Its worse than you might think
They claim to guve out sanctions for racist, homophobic or any discriminatory behaviour but when someone is openly racist ans has sexualy assulted multiple people the school doesnt care. They punish the people that tryed to stop this behaviour and bring it to staffs attention and then are suprised that the behaviour is bad. I do not recoment this school at all and dont mistake my 1 star for a zero.

After reading lots bad feedback I have to say today we change our opinion.
I was worried about moving my child out the school in the school term not because I did not like this school is because I move house a few weeks ago we now live far for this school.
The new girl I think she say Meliza or Marisa she did make the things so simple and easy to understand the process. She even explained it to me all the steps true the phone.

Okay I guess
Last year (before corona) it was amazing we had an awesome headteacher and he played music at break and to let us know when we had to go to class and there were less fights and it was cleaner but now its boring and there's alot of terrible teachers that are either too strict or just don't explain the work properly, there's also more bullying and they refused to listen to me and my friends side of what happened and instead believed all the lies the other person told.

I've been at NIA since year 7 and as the years progressed it's just gotten worse. The school spreads misinformation and just general lies about potential 'exciting' opportunities. Staff members promising student exchange programmes with the US, life-size go kart construction and formula 1 style racing and trips (weather abroad, national or local) which all never actually happened. There was a new member of staff that acted as a head teacher but wasn't actually the head teacher, meaning that we had no head as a school. This member of staff held assemblies which introduced us to the numerous of schools to which were 'transformed' and shared hopes of making the school the same. Even other staff members expressed their trust in this staff member. What happened in the end? Nothing. The staff member left as soon as a new head teacher was introduced. Not to mention this head teacher did not even last a year, and soon we got a new one, again not to mention the previous head teachers.
To make things clearer: yr7-yr8 first head teacher yr8-yr9 second head teacher yr9-yr10 third head teacher yr11 fourth head teacher. Due to these rapid management changes, the school is EXTREMELY unorganised and at most times frustrating and even unprofessional with how it addresses us (students) about these issues, mostly blaming our behaviour on their misconducts. It's a shame that the few staff members who were at this school have left or are not recognised by upper management.
Particularly in year 10, I had a new form tutor who was also a new business teacher. He was a fantastic teacher and form tutor (with his help I got a 9 in business in year 10) but the school heavily mistreated him.
This teacher was able to see the issues with the school and wanted to help out, so he requested that he be in charge of some of the organising and management around the school. He was denied. Another instance was that one of the year 11 students at the time had gotten violent with him and when he reported this to staff, there was no acknowledgment.
As a form tutor, he was super friendly and created a comfortable atmosphere as he was very approachable and noticeably cared about how we felt and what our thoughts of the school (and in general) were. In my experience at this school, not a single form tutor behaved in this way. Understandably, this staff member left. After his departure, my grades in business heavily dropped. It wasn't a huge decline at first, going from a 9 to 8. However, by the time I was nearing exams in year 11 I was getting 6s. I am extremely disappointed that my potential to succeed was wasted by this school. During my grade's decline, I had multiple business teachers in total 3 different ones in the span of a year. There are thousands of more things that I can say about this school (like the harassment in the hallways) but I think this is enough. Thank you if you've read this far.
