Health and socail Care

Nottingham City Centre Hub

My daughter went here she had to come out as it was driving her anxiety sky high reasons being:
Severe lack of communication between staff
No acceptance of special needs
Teachers are not turning up to lessons on a regular basis with no warning neither was work sourced or lessons covered

Assignment dates changed with little to no warning
Teachers didn't know how to put criteria up properly for students to do their assignments efficiently and correctly
Students getting out of control during lessons and it being ignored with no one there to supervise what is going off
And finally no communication with students when needing help or support
The health and social care course leaves a lot to be desired there is no stability at this college it was a huge sigh of relief on her last day

hairdressing

my experience so far

im in my second year in my course, and it hasnt been the best but not the worst! the teachers are lovely however, there are rules for one and not the other, i got excluded last year for an argument because somebody told my friends to k* herself and she got into no trouble at all! however, other than that, the college (adams building & wheelergate) is wonderful! the teachers will listen to your problems and will try and help you as much as they can

Good college

Currently a student here. Communication lacks, we are often confused as to work and dates and deadlines. The teachers don't contact each other. And its hard to ask for help via email or teams as they rarely answer.
Im doing performing arts and its amazing. There's many opportunities for me as i can help media students with short films, i can help the creative writing students. I have an opportunity to be noticed by casting directors and agencies. I am enjoying my course alot.

Lack of communication

Lack of communication is weak, students always confused on work and dates. Contacting lecturers is difficult when help is needed, as they don’t answer messages.
