Nightmare, got panic attack cause i got bully without teacher help

Terrible environment. Low EQ and IQ staff and all teachers were lack of education. Students literally just throwing stuff toward substitute teacher. Feel like in a playground during lessons. All staff just focused on students with special needs and ignored large amount of students. Which effect all students' learning process plus behaviour. Students pretend they were gang and treat others badly, staff and teachers still support those school gang cause afraid they will be annoying and they ignore students that got bully. After school students threw rubbish toward parents' car.

Don’t bother

Don’t bother attending this school they are a disappointment to education!
They run the school company orientated not student focused!
Example of their punishment system, student forgets their tie first time ever and received 30 minute detention after school that same day.
Forget their shoes and have to trade in their trainers for school shoes worn by other students, possibly they could have all sorts of hygiene issues.
During Covid the staff that forgot their mask were able to get one from reception, however the students revived a 30 minute detention the first time the second time they sent the student home to get their mask from home plus a 30 minute detention.

The truth of oakbank

Don’t go there guys, this school is destroying your life, can’t even provide much GCSE learning, they like to exposing students privacy, go through their phone for no reason, like to judging students, so stubborn. They treated students badly, don’t know how to respect others. Teacher just sending messages during lesson, dirty classroom and toilet with condom, can’t even learn stuff from this school

My experience.

Some teachers are good, some completely disregard anything you say. Most notably, I am gay, the schools knows and is very supportive, however the amount of foul lany such as 'if you take my stuff youre (example) gay' and 'imagine being r*tarded' these are things which are so commonly said with little to no punishment. It honestly saddens me to say that this school is not more then 2 stars. There are only a couple teachers who actually do things about discrimination. And those I give praise.

Oakbank secondary school review

I was at Oakbank for the whole 5 years I finished in 2019. During my time i was not treated well (this might not be the case for everyone), whenever i was in the classrooms i had things thrown at me i was called names i was laughed at i spent most of my time feeling crap because of the students there and i went home and felt so sad. The teachers did NOTHING about If they did something it would be to just take a kid out of the classroom for a few minutes or just give them "stages".Now stages were just little points that were given against your account profile .I don't think that really did anything except create a competition to see who could get the most points. Most of the time there was more disruption than learning going on.The only good thing that came from Oakbank was meeting my two best friends who i`m still friends with. The teachers were okay and some did help me through classes (English teachers and history and citizenship) there's some in particular who were just completely unjustified, for example who talked about their students to a completely different class saying how they wont go far in that class or in life. There was this teacher there who was thankfully let go but kept blaming everything on the students even if it was their fault. There was also this one incident where I was followed home by another student and harassed me, all they did was give that student a detention and clean up duties like come on now. What I found frustrating was maths now i don`t know about you but switching up classes right before exams doesn't seem like the best thing to do. There were also maths teachers who were completely not qualified like even the students knew more than them. At the front of the school there's a place called pastoral it was for kids who felt unwell now i was treated okay like whenever i had a panic attack they would ask if i was okay give me water etc but at the same time they never really had a good system they would just leave you in a room to "feel" better and you had to be sick in order to go home. The canteen size was so small and there was very little places to sit and each your lunch for example some kids had to sit in corridors because like i said there was very little space to sit. Some good points: the activities there was stuff to do. I don't know if that has changed. I like the cooking room, even the cooking teacher. I had no idea how to run it. Sports were good even though i`m not athletic the only downsides was the teachers for it as they favoured some students and the CHANGING ROOMS oh my they were bad you could not even image they put 15 odd people in one room and made us get changed it was just bad. If I were you, I'd keep your head down, find some good friends and just get the grades. History was a good subject and it was good not to have people disrupting every 5 seconds and who wanted to learn.
