Don’t go here unless u wanted to have mental health issues

This school has made me want to jump off a cliff in agadir Morocco, the teachers are the big problem here! The don’t do sh!t at all and are not helpful, the amount of times racism and Islamophobia has gotten away with at this school is insane! I’ve had someone try and pull of my scarf as I was walking to my lessons, I obviously told the year team and they did absolutely nothing. Not only that but I also got assaulted by a year 10, I was just walking to my lesson when all of the sudden some random year 10 with his friends punched me, I froze in that moment not knowing what to do, once I got to my lesson I started bursting out crying, the teacher saw me crying and asked me why I was crying. I couldn’t say why but I remember her saying “don’t cry here, people can see you” as if she’s embarrassed of me crying in front of others?! I was frustrated and mad, they then sent the year team collect me and told them that I felt “sick” even tho I literally wasn’t. Throwing food is quite a popular thing here that has happened to me, many older years have thrown food at me and my friends for no reason, such as milk, grapes, pasta, water, even wet tissue and many more things, we have also reported it but it was not dealt with, I don’t know how long I can stay at this school, it’s honestly killing me and it just makes me feel bad about myself, this isn’t all of what happened but I’m trying to keep things short. Please I do not recommend sending ur children to this school, it has ruined my mental health and the way I think, I’m embarrassed about my own culture too because of the racism etc

If I could move schools I would

They don't listen to the students and barely do anything about the naughty kids and it makes it impossible to learn anything

My honest current experience

It caused me mental distress to the point I couldnt go or leave the house . They take ages to deal with bullying and barely solve it . It is still crap . When I had to be sent home due to a breakdown a teacher said to me , "hope you're happy you got your way" in a disrespectful tone . They ignore your suggestions and ignore the plan you have set In place to help you . It is like a Jail. The food is thrown at people . There is yelling galore . There is no sense of order and teachers don't bother to acknowledge your opinions and feelings . If they yell in your ear and cause you to have a breakdown the will say you are at fault . An example is when my art teacher said to me , " I wasn't yelling at you . You know that . It is t my fault you didn't put on your ear defenders. You can do the sensible thing. Calm down then sit down . Or you can be irresponsible like *insert classmate's name * and be escorted out " . Since I didn't know she was going to shout how could I have put them on ? I was escorted out . During my meltdowns, despite me asking to not be touched and to be left alone they still continue. Making it worse

The toilets are vile . Half the time you can't even use them . I found a urine covered red bull can on one of the toilets .

The classroom walls , tables and chairs are covered in drawings of male genitalia . Some are extremely detailed. These haven't been fixed despite being notified of this many times .

You will be blamed if you cant remember , you will be told you werent listening / werent focusing even if you have memory issues .You can be harassed . Even sworn at by other students. No matter how much evidence you have they say "well , we will look into it" after weeks they still haven't done anything. My bullies tried to follow me home to twice. They continuously tormented me . Some still do to this very day . To put it simply . this school is not good if you value your mental health . it is UTTERLY HORRIBLE and should not exist (^v^) sincerily, an honest reviewer

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!

I’m in yr8 now and I absolutely hate this school so much. There are fights every day and you are constantly bullied no matter what. The school has QR codes to scan if u get bullied but nothing ever happens. At one point i was getting bullied so much that i tried to kill myself. Someone was bullying me in person and online. It got so bad that i got into a fight with someone over it ( I’m not a fighting type I’m more of a nerd). It is horrible here and i think that people should come here because of it the teachers are also bullies at times as well.

Anyone gets away with homophobic language, transphobic language and anything like that even though its against the law ( the equality act 2010 )

Extremely Poor, Just left.

Kids ruining the place, Along with 90% of teachers being clueless and unprofessional.
Just switched from the sixth form there for a college near me and even though I havent started yet, it still feels better than that tip.

DO NOT GO HERE!

this school is horrible, never wanted to leave some where so bad. teachers are pervs and will look at your skirts while you walk in front of them , then complain that is to short and is “distracting” male teachers it’s disgusting. teacher left the class about 10 minutes into the lesson then never came back i can say i haven’t learnt a single thing in this school. they don’t care about your mental health and just complain they want to go home all day. very rude teachers whatever they think they’ll say. all the teachers slag each other off and then let the gossip get around school. do NOT recommend!.

Horrible School

I started at this school in March 2021, and it disappointed me alot. I wouldn't go into class most of the time because i was always getting dirty looks. The teachers didn't care and said they would put me in Isolation if I didn't go into class. This is a horrible school and if you're choosing to send you're child here, don't.

god awful school

i have been in this school since year 7 and im leaving year 11 soon. this school has only gotten worse over the couple of years ive attended and i dont see any positive changes happening in such a toxic environment. the teachers, specifically senior leaders and the principal dont care enough to fix the underlying issues of the school and instead try and cover them up with school rules that only result in worse behaviour and a worse reputation for the school. phones have been banned at break and lunch (an extremely stupid rule to even begin with) and will be confiscated, the only way you can get it back is if your PARENTS collect it… that is extremely unfair on more unfortunate people whose parents work long hours and CANNOT collect it.
the skirt rule is enforced in a very inappropriate way, these are pre teens and teenage girls we are talking about here. i have personally heard the principal say that it will “distract male teachers” and the only thing im hearing is that you have employed pedophiles and are blaming CHILDREN for their disgusting, perverse and illegal thoughts about literal minors.
my friend got a detention for being THREE minutes late to school, how fair is that? they were late because there was TRAFFIC and they live far.
bullying is such a common issue in this school i didnt even realise i was getting picked on because it was just so normalised to me. instead of tackling the bullying and fixing the real issues, they have done nothing but install some anti bullying ambassador thing which i havent heard anything from since year 8 and banned the use of phones, essentially erasing their responsibility as a school to protect their students and resorting to just blaming the victims of bullying because “they shouldn’t have their phones out”. cyberbullying isnt even a big issue in this school.
this school will do absolutely anything and everything to avoid accepting the blame and admitting that they are incapable of taking care of the students that attend this school. i have been harassed incessantly about my “improper uniform” yet when i came for help about some serious mental health issues that couldve KILLED me, they set up a counsellor thing, which never followed through, then proceeded to never do anything about it or acknowledge it again. the staff team cares more about some arbitrary pieces of clothing over their students mental health, which i think speaks volumes for just how terrible this school is

Dumpster Fire

Oasis is not a very good school it has overwhelming amount of bullying which leads to students bunking clases. The school staff also dont try help students get into classes. If you have anything like autism or adhd id say away from the school. The school favours certain students often because they are consider well behaved while the students with stuff like autism aniexty depresson strugle there way threw while they try make it barely into a classroom before getting bullied. I overall would not force anyone go to this school ever its a dumpster fire.

Oasis

The way they go about the skirt rule is creepy. "Makes male teachers uncomfortable" maybe if they're getting uncomfortable with a CHILDS skirt length they shouldnt work at a school? Plus I've literally seen a girl get berated for her skirt whilst a girl with an even shorter skirt walked past and didnt get a word said to her. And kids literally get away with being homophobic, transphobic and racist alot of the time.

My experience

I'm in yr8 and iv got to say it is a good school although it could improve but when ever iv had an issue it's always been solved either by a member of staff or an anti bullying ambassador immediately and I have now become an anti bullying ambassador myself but they could improve on punishmants for instance one or two students will do something but the whole class will be punished not only could I cause bullying towards the culprit but it could also stop people from wanting to go to school because they dont wasnt to be punished for something they havent done

But overall it is a good school

Abusive peers, blatant favouritism

If you suffer with any kind of mental health issues, depression, anxiety, suicidal tendencies, self-harm, Tourette’s, anger issues, autism, ADHD, sensitivity, anything like that, I advise you to please stay away from this school. Personally I became a target for some of the schools infamous bullies, and let me just say if you want to spend your school time being tormented on a daily basis this school is probably right for you. The things people say to each other are absolutely disgusting and have led me to want to take my own life multiple times. If you are sensitive about the way you look, or have low self-esteem don’t even bother. If I had a penny for every time someone called me a “fat b*tch” out of nowhere in the corridors I’d be a millionaire by now. It seems like this school has never been good with mental health and never will be. The problem is, if you are “popular” (which usually means pretty, flawless, skinny, extroverted, picks on kids two years younger) you are most likely going to have the odds in your favour, congrats. If you are not say, a model, you will want to run away and jump off a Cliff from the pure toxicity this school harbours. Also gum is stuck under every table and chair and with COVID it’s not exactly sanitary. Thank you for reading.

Its a decent school

Im in year 10 right now and honestly its an OK school.. The teachers do their jobs and have recently started really working hard.. The lessons have been useful and thanks to them I've done well in my first two exams (english lit). The students need to sort themselves out a bit, they're still rowdy in lessons but they all listen.. There are still occasionally fights but rarely.. Over all its a good school but if i had kids I'd not send them here..
