Old Palace of John Whitgift School

Whatever you do don't go, its a stupid school, it seems nice on the outside but you will regret sending your child here. the education is good i, but the teachers are not fair and like to pick on students, some of then are alright, there are mice everywhere and they try to hide it, mice where you are supposed to eat your food. They say that we have mice because we eat in the classrooms, but if the cleaners clean up the mess then their will not be any mice. on of the rooms for instance has lady bugs crawling everywhere and when we have complained which was last year they didn't do anything about it, the lady bugs are still there! they say that they will listen to our opinions but they don't they just 'pass the message on' and nothing happens. they are racist and if you want your child
to be happy the dint send them there

I have not been long at the school but I do know that all the teachers are amazing and lovely except one, a chemistry teacher that down grades children for not having a mark
/ grade that suits her. Furthermore our dance teacher who thinks every kid is Lizzo and bust down a move but overall the school is a great environment and nice other than the few occasions of mice and preppy not open to diverse whites girls the school is great.

well here we go i could write an essay about this place, i am currently in year 10 at old palace.
first things first there are MICE everywhere, they say its because were eating in our form rooms but maybe if they used anything other than HENRY HOOVERS that are 20 years old there wouldn't be mice. just maybe. and to mention lunches the time you have to wait to eat sometimes is barbaric and the price of the food is terrible.

and the security isnt the best i had art last year and a random Russian man came through the door which was open onto the street and was trying at ask me and my partner for instructions to go somewhere. its unacceptable.

the outdoor facilities are also bad old palace doesn't have a single patch of grass suitable for outdoor activities and we end up being taken off site to either Whitgift or trinity which minimalizes the time we have to do our pe lesson.

on the topic of teachers any of the staff have racial preferences, i can think of multiple right now. many teachers also commonly degrade students and put them down infront of their peers creating a pressuring environment and one i hate being in.
many teachers are amazing and do their best to create a fun and enjoyable environment with a few i can think of as well including my dt and physics lessons.

there are quite a few clubs but the school clearly has a preference to which sports they like. netball. the school takes pride in their netball team like no other and other sports apart from swimming based sports are very undervalued with next to no variation in the activities they do year to year.

I forgot to mention the lollipop man! He’s the absolute greatest and everyone in the school loves him he remembers names better than most of the teachers and he gets more gifts than all the teachers put together!

now i could go on for ages the bad and the occasional good things about this school but the computing lesson im currently in is ending in a few minutes.

‘Twas a blissful 5years at this school but I’m so glad I left. This school is still in its old ways and compared to reality it’s going to be shocker for the students as soon as they leave and let’s not talk about their support system it was disgraceful and so white-washed and just no.
Loved certain teachers loved some subjects and loved the students and honestly better than most school but be ready
