Ormiston NEW Academy

Hello I am here to express my opinion of this school. From starters staff denies of simple human rights like Going to the bathroom, Drinking fizzy drinks, Hair appearance, pricing, accessories, and etc.. A human Needs to go to the bathroom if they need to go if they wont their bladder can get infected/damaged. Fizzy drinks can help with stay awake or at least have attention in class or just to have something with flavor and either way I don't see what can a fizzy drink can do to a student. I can agree with caffeine but that is just ridiculous. with accessories, pricing and Hair appearance students need somehow to reflect them self with a uniform, this might not be as important as the others but it does really matter in a world that needs representation. As with the staff some of this 'adults' are really mean and immature for their age. ex; I was in line for food and a staff member decides to yell at me telling me that I was to late that I should be in class. the problem is that there was about 3 people behind me and the staff member purposely Targeted ME. Not only they can be mean but they like to ignore acts of bullying happening right intort of their face. same with not sending a sick student home because they didn't look sick or injured and just let them wait the whole day suffering. There so much more that I ant to say and express but I don't have the time now. I don't want to change school only because 'is not for me' I want rules to change for every student because students are complaining about this dumb rules as for the staff we could say average not all of them are mean and obviously have preferences but some of them are unprofessional of how the execute things .
and that it. I am just tired of some of this stuff and I just needed a place to tell my experience in this school.

If u wanna do maths then u'll be OK- thats all they care about. Will take you out of all ur other lessons, even if u don't wanna b. Don't care about students and what they want, all about maths and English. Used to b a gd school.

It is good but the toilets are absolutely disgusting. but the food is good and the teachers are nice if you have good behaviour. but the mount of litter on the school grounds is not a pleasant site. And the good thing is that I can see my old school across the field.

this school is alright I guess. the amount of fights that go on is crazy. the toilets are disgusting and bullying still goes on. The school is very inclusive tho and supports LGBTQ+ rights but students still use gay as an insult. The teaching is good and teachers help you when you don't understand the work. They are very strict on having homework diaries out on the table. I don't see the point of the uniform standards. when I first went to the school I thought they would be very strict on uniforms. the skirts are supposed to be knee-length but instead, girl is almost showing their ass. ion the website it also said that you couldn't dye your hair an unnatural color but I see people with green, red, purple, blue, etc hair. The lunh is alright I guess. they serve food at break and usually there is section with drinks like radnor,yazoo,water,omj can, etc.thereis also pizza,egg mcmuffin,butter and toast ...... at break and brownies,waffles,flapjacks,shortbread etc, at lunch it is similar but with a wider range of meals. a pizza is £1.10 and water is 70p. we put money on our fingerprint and no parent pay. after school clubs are free.
