Terrible. Dont come here!

Absolutely terrible. Im a yr 7 student and the amount of fights and bullying that happens is horrible. For one, they dont even try to stop it and two even if they do try help it will still carry on. I bought a sandwich from the canteen a few days ago and it was out of date. I couldnt even eat it so i waisted £1.30 on something i cant even have. This is only the start of all the shitty things but i cant be assed to write it all. Dont.go.to.this.school!!!

Fined for taking kids out of school

Whilst living through covid which we couldn't have a hol, but the school could keep my children off school on and off for months. We had a holiday which was already booked before covid but had to reschedule due to the pandemic, then taking my 2 children out of school for 1 week which was on our choice and not the schools, which has had my year 8 child off school for months on and off. We got fined 60 pound each parent per child, put I refused to pay as of the above so it went to court and now we have been fined 880 pound so thanks hemsworth art's and community collage for been the spineless people u really r

Awful

Extremely biased and hypocritical consequences system: teachers wind up students and consequences are so easy to be escalated to “c5s” and exclusions. Teachers abuse the consequences system so much and it goes unheard. Refuse a request stupid or not? Exclusion. Say no but change your mind? Exclusion for refusing a reasonable request. Teachers do nothing but say it’s their school policy but will refuse to prove it in any way, because at this point they’re making it up as they go. Don’t see students as people and expect them to confine with everything. Not to mention that times we have got the police or a separate party involved to deal with issues that school refuse to deal with, have all said that their policy doesn’t even cooperate with the actual law, child safety, child wellbeing etc. absolutely awful school ran by the most corrupt school family. Not to mention uniform policy is sexist and aimed at girls the majority. School will always try to avoid dealing with bullying situations inside of schools with pupils they’re aware of, and will always get the situation swept off quickly with the pupil being bullied given a half an hour detention after school which is basically nothing. Outside of school bullying is what they deal with baddest, I know someone who goes to this school who was assaulted outside Tesco by students that go to the school and school said they can’t do anything about it because it happened outside of school, even though the students involved all go to the school! The learning environment is very unkept and messy, students and teachers have no respect for the buildings and conditions in and outside of classrooms is awful, especially toilets and the dining halls which aren’t cleaned as much as they should be. The outdoor environment being the same, unsafe (temporary fencing laying everywhere) site staff are unreliable and there is always some sort of building work going on, loud and distracting and can’t seem to escape it all. They claim to support and comfort students as apart of their mental health policies and all that, however they are awful at doing so. A friend of mine was having a mental breakdown due to her immense bullying not being dealt with and was issued a c5 (half day in isolation) for apparently skipping class! School won’t take the emotional side into consideration about any problem, complain why students are mad and angry when they read out consequences for this and that, it just all escalates so quickly and is pathetic. The people they employ shouldn’t be working with kids as most of them don’t know how to handle them. The school doesn’t encourage any sort of hood behaviour and is always going on about how many exclusions or detentions you got in a term and not how many praise points you got etc. they will base your personality of your consequences history and if it’s bad then they won’t see you as a human being but a threat. Theyre all biased and hypocritical and all bullies. Would avoid any school ran by out wood.

Yeah… no

Idk why people say that this school cared for your mental health. I got abandoned when I was at my lowest and got ignored by many of the higher up staff. Only thing good was lunch time with friends.

Shocking

Got grabbed by a teacher and school refused to do anything about it because we didn’t file a complaint due to school policy. School accused me of being a liar and if that I was lying I would be extremely punished. Never took into consideration of what I said and basically blamed me for it all. Would not send my kids here if I had any absolutely awful. Also won’t deal with situations that happened outside of school due to their “policy again” even though the students involved all attend the school on the daily.

Absolutely rubbish

I don't know why this school gets mental health champion awards because it does nothing for the mental health of children all they do is push the kids away when they want help
