Safeguarding, neglectful , bullying issues
Our child attended Oxenhope primary from 5 years of age . He was in a minority group as is dual heritage . We found the school to be extremely bad at dealing with bullying and recording incidents , of which there was many . He was targeted , racially , physically , verbally and socially, over a number of years , and today still bears the visible scars . We found the majority of this had not been recorded or reported at all, and some notes that were taken were actually deleted . We had to remove him from the school due to the severity of the bullying and home schooled until he returned in year 7 to grammar school . The passing of his exams were in no way a credit to the standards of teaching at the school , but more to his tutor who stepped up and helped through his final year 6. This wasn’t an isolated thing . Our daughter and son in law has since removed both our grandchildren due to ineffective and neglectful safeguarding . Avoid at all cost
