Staff experience
I am a student who has left Parrs wood high school now but I attended around 3-4 years ago. My maths teacher was Miss Jones and my science teacher was Mr. Baker. I am not sure if they are still staff members at the highschool however it’s worth mentioning how they shaped my future. They are both similar. They both share the same values. They are incredible people. Genuinely caring, genuinely thoughtful and genuinely passionate. The passion Mr. Baker has for science, the way he taught it to us forever stuck with me. I wasn’t the best of students and wouldn’t listen and would show up late to lessons. However, Mr. Baker was a patient teacher who treated every single student with respect and integrity. Mr. Baker is an amazing teacher and an amazing human being. I will never forget his patience, passion and kindness. Miss Jones. I can’t even find the right words. If she is still a maths teacher at parrs wood, I want it to be clear that she is so beneficial to the students. Aside from studies, she pays attention to you, your character and will always make sure you’re okay. I will never forget an instance where I wasn’t being my usual self and was upset and thought I had hid it well in class. Miss Jones pulled me outside privately and asked me if I was okay. She didn’t have to. She could have ignored it. When I am reminded of high school days, I often think about these two great figures which made my experience worth continuing. I am here today because of them. Yes, because of such small things as mentioned. But they’re not small. I am here today and I am soon to graduate with a first class honours in a medical degree. Thanks to them. I will never forget you Miss Jones and Mr. Baker.

Worst school ever
I was a former student from 2010-2015. I have to say I was bullied by teachers as well as put down. People of colour were degraded and privileged people got more support. I was told I would not get anywhere in life. The security is awful, students bullying each other and teachers not doing anything about it leading to kids having poor mental health and attempting bad thoughts of taking their life. I would never recommend this school and I can only think it’s gone worse and the new head teacher...

MY EXPERIENCE
teachers and safeguarding dosent care about students. They ignored my bullying reports many of times over 3 years up until the last year when i ended up in hospital due to mental health from bullying. They made me a “safety plan” which was not followed whatsoever. I am also still awaiting my remark which everytime i call no one answers the phone. The communication between staff is also horrible as when someone said they would let someone else know and didnt which took me in circles. This school...

Bullying teachers
My nephew is relentlessly bullied my his maths teacher it's effected his mental health really badly and yet the teachers all close ranks when it's brought up the new head of his year group threatened to suspend him first day he was there. Like seriously sort your school out if my nephews mental health gets any worse prepare for a law suit

Bullying and Mental Health
I had been bullied since I was in year 7, no teachers did anything despite being told, even by my parents and given names of those pupils. Due to this my mental health decreased and when I felt suicidal and needed to go home as I was a danger to myself, the school kept me in and had me attempt to do work while saying things like “just put it aside” “we all have to do things we don’t like”.

Stay clear
Shame we have to give a rating of stars because I wouldn’t of given one . Avoid this school , it’s only interested if you get good grades If you aren’t or have special needs you are cast aside and forgotten . Avoid at all costs there are much better schools out there

Parrs wood high school review
Terrible school. Teachers are horrible and supply teachers are worse. You will never see a school with teachers abusing their power so much. I WOULD NOT RECOMMENDED!!
