Bullying and Mental Health
I had been bullied since I was in year 7, no teachers did anything despite being told, even by my parents and given names of those pupils. Due to this my mental health decreased and when I felt suicidal and needed to go home as I was a danger to myself, the school kept me in and had me attempt to do work while saying things like “just put it aside” “we all have to do things we don’t like”.
Parrswood sucks entirely NEVER COME HERE.
NEVER go to this school the teacher don't care about bullying or kids mental health etc. better off at Barlow.

Shame we have to give a rating of stars because I wouldn’t of given one .
Avoid this school , it’s only interested if you get good grades If you aren’t or have special needs you are cast aside and forgotten . Avoid at all costs there are much better schools out there

Terrible school. Teachers are horrible and supply teachers are worse. You will never see a school with teachers abusing their power so much. I WOULD NOT RECOMMENDED!!

worst school in manchester. teachers dont know how to teach and most of the teachers are racist. they do not care about the students at all. They also do not let students go to the toilet and they lock the toilets during lessons. food is also terrible. raw burgers and found a screw in my burger once.
Worst high school in Manchester.
Biggest regret myself and family attending this high school. It has nearly around 7/8 years since we have now all finished with that school and stories are still extremely similar . Teachers do not care about students health or well-being. The teaching quality is extremely extremely poor, many teachers do not know how to control the class nor teach. If you are getting bullied and report this to the school please be aware the school will do absolutely nothing about it and still expect your child to go in school everyday. Overheard many teachers make racist remarks towards children, discriminate against children and make disgusting remarks. Whilst attending there were issues regarding teachers and their inappropriate behaviour towards students, especially females which you can search yourself to see this school is on that list.
I have absolutely no idea how this school is still open, everyone I know who has attended absolutely detests this school. I wouldn’t even send a dog there let alone a child. Huge improvements are needed or to be shut down all together.
There are not enough words to explain how much of a terrible school this is. I know individuals who have attended this school and over ten years on still suffering with the consequences of bullying from both student and teachers resulting in serve anxiety and depression.
I beg you to not send your child to this school. Overall is it not safe. They break so many rules and regulations it’s insane I am surprised they have not been caught out yet. From teachers making sexual remarks to young girls to being forced to stand outside for half a day in the cold due to issues in the school and not being allowed to just go home. The way the treat children is inhumane.
Due to poor teaching and overall standards of the school is rare for children to reach their full potential. I’m sure it’s easy to blame it on the child but I am an example of this whist at that school I never learnt anything, was just scraping by. I then went onto college and got incredible results and finished university with a first class honours degree, which shows what good education can actually do. To any students currently attending or have left and due to their poor standards are not doing as ‘well’ as you wish please research into good colleges and universities which will provide you with a good education and you will come out with amazing results

parrswood care about the children's well being and mental health and many good resources to help you feel safer and calmer. some students may be given a G12 pass to give them a quite space to calm down when ever someone is nasty the school will try there hardest to sort something out.
