Penair School

Penair School feels like a prison. In fact worse than a prison. They care more about punishing students than educating them. If you forget a simple piece of equipment you will be timed out. They don't care about the mental health of students or dealing with bullies. I was bullied a lot and no one did anything to help me. Really disappointing.

Poor excuse of a school who's staff are uncapeable of teaching students! It is the equivalent to a modern day borstal, students are punished for the most petty things sent to removal room where they must spend 5hrs sat in total silence, must read aloud the printed rules and then forbidden to move/ turn their heads/ rest their hands on the table/ cough and are not even allowed to leave for their lunch, this I brought to them to eat in the removal room.
Students are accused of lying if they are feeling un-well, or need to go to the toilet, on many of occasions teachers have made degrading and obscene remarks against female students. Totally unprofessional establishment who do nothing against bullying in their school. Would not trust them with dolls let alone my children! Avoid at all costs

No trips, awful headteacher who never interacts with students, leaves all his interaction to deputy who is aggressively loud. Half an hour lunch (1 hour is claimed but we spend half of it doing maths with form tutors) and the food quality is disgusting. I hate it here. We also have a teacher who is concerning, he walks around publicly barefoot, and never sets proper work. SA and extreme bullying also happens one male teacher looks up students skirts.

The school does absolutely nothing about bullying apart from blaming the victim. They don't care about the students mental health no matter how much they say they do, SA doesn't get looked into, the quality of the toilets is atrocious and girls have been told they aren't allowed to go to the toilet no matter what unless it's break or lunch. Some of the teachers treat SEND students badly for things out of their control, the school is rife with vape and drugs, and the stress they put on us when talking GCSEs was WAY more than necessary. We had enough going on due to the school not helping us with the bullying and mental health issues so we took matters into our own hands and spent years being each others therapists and telling eachother to keep going - even though we were only children ourselves.

I knew one person who went to the school about their mental health and was told essentially to "get over it" and "stop being selfish think how you're making others feel" it's disgusting.

I spent five years miserable there and getting away is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Please don't let your child go there, find somewhere else.

Thanks to the headteacher of this vile institution my Nan has pulled her groin and dislodged her hip again after he forced her into a bipolar episode which Led her to throw herself down the stairs

One student got locked in the toilet by a deputy head and the student couldn’t get out. A teacher also asked a student if she wanted to go out for drinks when she turns 18. This school is not be recommended for student going to a secondary school. As a parent I would like to pull both my children out of this school as it is a disgrace.
