I dont know what to write here
Well for me at least the school since even that bad some people are over exaggerating it even though they get stricter every year and you literally get C1 and detentions for most of the time for no reasons and when you get into fights and you just defend yourself by fighting back you will get suspended because you were fighting as well and if someone reported you for bullying they won't get your side of the story they will just give you a detention it doesn't considered that bad
Kinda a bad school
A lot, of school fights, loud students, bad environment, don’t understand a lot of the lessons, maybe cuz I’m kinda stuiped ish, so is a lot of student (sorry!!!!)
Some teachers r really good, computer teacher is great!!
All teachers seem a bit angry a lot of the time.
Food good but not very filling n kinda hungry after, n sometimes after I eat my stomach hurt, but no often
Only went to the school cuz my friend went, kinda regretted that but eh.
A lot of the teachers left, which was mostly good teachers so next year will probably be even worse then this year, which didn’t even know it could get worse!
But a handful of teachers and students make it an, okay- ish school.

Positive & Negative
The staff and Students are very rude and when i was in year 7 all the students were horrible. The teachers are very strict and gave you a C1 and detention often. I will say, the food at RGS is very good and the dinner ladies put lots of effort into making it.Education wise, its good but i advise going to a place where they are nice to you.
My experience at school
Whilst the school building and base curriculum are pretty good this school has always had an issue teachers or the lack of them especially within the science department this means that for alot of students our education is broken up and we struggle to get the grades needed to pass
cause for concern.
one star is too much already this school has very rude teachers and they don’t do anything about racism especially and they use the excuse ‘it was a misunderstanding’. teachers don’t care about anything other than themselves and are selfish and rude and pick favourites.
Appalling behaviour across the school
The behaviour of the students was shocking! On a school trip, they made fun of another school because of their name. This was not just one student however, all students shared common values and were willing to share their opinion no matter how rude it was.

Don’t recommend
I’m a senior student now. The school was great for a while, however less than 10 teachers stayed after the last academic year, and that is no exaggeration. Learning is relatively poor standard, and the staff on the most part are uncaring towards students besides their grades. The senior staff (principal, vice principal etc) are disconnected from students, barely knowing which year group we’re in when we approach them. All in all its declined drastically in quality in the past 2-3 years.

I've been there from year 7 until the end
Overall, it has improved since the beginning, but some teachers decided to single me out for reasons I still don't know, as if I was worse than everyone in my class. Other teachers on the other hand were absolutely amazing
Good school
It’s a nice school and very high quality teaching, although I only give it 4 out of 5 because the school environment can get very toxic, I think this is down to only having girls there. But overall it is such an underrated school compared to others in reading( I’d know because I’ve been to 4 of them) it was definitely the best out of the 4 :)

It’s a good school, hardly any fights and they attain good grades- although some of the teachers use and abuse their power

Yes this school have been more strict over the last few years and yes they do give c1 for dress codes that shouldn’t exist( like how socks should be below knee, I mean what?so if I have high knee socks I would get dress coded? Another one is for the fact that you can’t hold hands) For me is just the strict rules from me giving this school an excellent rating.
But reading other students reviews I would have to disagree. The school does try to stop bullying they even suspend or expelled student after multiple warnings and detention. But some students are like immune to punishment and still do it. It’s not like this school hasn’t tried to resolve it, they try they really do. If the students just do the right there wouldn’t even be a problem. Like I never had a problem with this school and I never had a detention and I am going into year 11. I swear the bad reviews are from student who have a beef with this school just because they didn’t do the right thing.
This school has teachers who are there to support them they are even professionals. If student are willing to learn and grow the teachers would guide them to achieve the best grade they can. I am one of those student who would like to learn and therefore the teachers notice that and therefore help me improve. I have improved over the year like I went from a grade 3 in year seven to a grade 7 in year 10.
