Robert May's School

the entire time i was in this school they refused to acknowledge there was anything wrong with me. i was never able to learn anything because i never got the help i actually needed. i got diagnosed with autism when i was in year 10 and not a single person acknowledged the diagnosis. none of my teachers even knew until i told them. the only time the school actually offered to do anything to help was when i was already about to leave the school, not to mention all the things they offended to put in place for me made basically no difference; banning me from the only place i actually felt safe (student support) and offering to remove one lesson from my time table (the one i had already dropped months ago).
one time my appendix burst and i wasn't allowed to go to the office until i ended up throwing up, even then i had to lie just to get them to send me home.
the entire time i was in that school almost my entire year group hated me. i was bullied constantly and what did the school do about it? absolutely nothing. even teachers made me feel horrible about myself, i got yelled at for nothing and spent alot of my time crying. one time i tried telling someone that a teacher was yelling at me for no reason and upsetting me i was just told "thats just whats shes like" glad this school takes me seriously.

take your children to this school if you want to destroy their mental health.

Very poor school. Very disappointed on all levels. I would love to send our student to a more nurturing school. Smell of vapes through out the school apparently. Certain teachers are not respectful to students . Shouting at students (young adults) for example shows poor self control in a teacher. Results at end of year not good. One particular, teacher gave a very bad mark. From what I can gather she has taken out her dislike on student via report. Student has mentioned her numerous times over the year (in a poor way). If a student is failing this should be bought to parents notice earlier and not at the end of the year.

such a shit school teachers don’t care about your education only about how you look, if you have piercings or jewellery it’s taken off you and you can’t even wear a coat? assistant head is so bad👎👎👎

school treats people unfairly to many racist people ho never get in troble

I went here for 5 years and my mum was trying to get me an autism diagnosis, after 3 years of the staff gaslighting myself and my mum they finally assessed and referred me and I got a diagnosis. It was delayed by the actions of the school and I didn't get diagnosed till I was 16, This was only a few years ago.

As a direct result of the schools negligence I failed all but 1 of my GCSEs because I didn't have the support I needed.

If you are Smart the will put too much pressure on you and will say its "for the good of the school" and if your not smart most teachers will blame you for them not being able to teach you.

If you have mental health issues while at this school, good luck because all they will say is "What do you have to be depressed about?" and if you have anxiety its "You have nothing to be anxious about?" and some of the staff claim that teenagers cant have mental health issues.

Got bullied for all 5 years and nothing was ever done, I retaliated once and my teacher told me to "Control my emotions".

I did make some good friends who also got screwed over by the school and we are still friends to this day so that's one good thing I guess.

Awful school unless you are a grade 9 student.
More concerned about coat when it’s raining then bulling and behaviour. Assistant head is awful
