Rosebank School

Worst experience of a school, beyond anything we could of imagined, school staff have a complete lack of empathy towards both children and parents and show no understanding of how to actually support families in their care. I had to remove my child after only 4months at this school due to the attitude of the school staff towards both my child and myself as a parent, we were given no support whatsoever with issues that my child was experiencing and instead met with false accusations and undermined as parents. The family support worker does the exact opposite of her job role, makes false and frankly malicious accusations against parents with little to no actual evidence apart from that which she has fabricated, then becomes defensive when she is questioned on her actions and behaviour by other professionals, she contradicts opinions and decisions made by other professionals outside of her job role i.e paediatricians and medical staff, and when asked to do her job in supporting families is incredibly reluctant to do so. Reports back from transport staff are awful that the staff are rude and have an attitude at handover that when the children are distressed staff do nothing to support transport in transitioning onto the vehicle or managing behaviour during transit many of which are having to travel great distances to get to and from the school. My child was traumatised by their experience at this school, fortunately the school they moved to could see this and acted with compassion and helped us as a family to over come the horrendous experience we had been put through by Rosebank school. I would not recommend this school to anyone, I have heard similar reports to ours from other parents of children who have gone to rosebank to and most of the issues seem to be based on their experience with the family support worker. There are many other Sen schools in the district to choose from and I would never recommend this one!
