i joined ross high half way throughout s3 and the school knew i had epilepsy, a couple of boys constantly threw dodgeballs during pe which is extremely dangerous with or without epilepsy and the pe teacher seen this and done nothing about this. they also don’t do anything about bullying as i was constantly getting told by this boy to kill myself and that i was fat and the school said they would do something about it and completely ignored this issue and done nothing about my brothers bullying and let it all happen even after he got threatened with a knife and got punched.
My grandson has been bullied non stop . He has been threatened and punched, also he has had a lighter put in his face. In the guidance department the do what they want, shocking
The school is a bit overcrowded but an extension is being built so that won’t be an issue in the future. Most of the teachers are very good and approachable. There are many opportunities for pupils to take part in both on and out of school. However, there is a big bullying issue. I was a victim of homophobia in the school and instead of dealing with the homophobes who were calling me slurs and attacking me, I was told to stop expressing myself as gay. Overall it is a nice school with lovely staff but not much is done about prejudice and bullying other than an assembly at the start of the year.
Very busy and not enough space in the corridors. They've been building an extension for about a year now. Most of the teachers are nice and understanding except a few. Sometimes the boys get into trouble when it was the girls doing wrong
