Horrendous

Constantly bullied when struggling with various mental illnesses - staff didn’t care, actually protected the bullies. The effects have still followed me in life 12 years later. Avoid.

Burn this place down

Honestly it’s the worst place ever.
When i started in year seven I was genuinely looking forward to it but since then I have spent 3 years in this hell hole and I hate it I only have 1 real friend and I am horribly bullied by other kids in my form. I’ve tried going to the PSU abt this but they fail to do anything and make me feel like I’m the one in the wrong.
Aside from that the general feel of the place is terrible I have learning problems and they fail to address my needs, the food is terrible AND expensive & the staff are either the worst or the best teachers you’ll ever have (normally the first)

It’s fine, I guess

It was really obvious who teacher’s favourites were and the rest of the class usually got tossed to the side, and the PSU comes off as super unapproachable despite their efforts. Any mental health support, if any, is tragic and is a waste of time. A few of my friends and I got severely bullied and Rushcliffe barely did anything about it at all, other than pulling us out of one class to “address concerns for our mental health” and never discussing since.
There’s barely any clubs that aren’t related to sport or academics, which means it’s a struggle to make friends at times.
Food isn’t great either honestly, pretty expensive too.
If you get good teachers, it might be a bearable secondary school experience — otherwise you’ll wanna escape as soon as the bell for the end of form time rings.

Okay if you don't need support

Overall the school isn't terrible as long as you have no need for extra help. For example, I have quit bad dyslexia and that was on my report since year 7, however, by the time I wanted to use the extra time I get in exams in year 11 it turns out that the school has removed my dyslexia file from the system.
As well as this they fail to supply basic dyslexia support consistantly, like coloured paper, or printing PowerPoints out. Basicallyy for a school that is supposedly dyslexia friendly they don't do a very good job.

Okay, but the pupil support is lacking

Eh, it's okay. The food is mostly terrible, and the teachers vary between 'obviously hates the students' and 'honestly the best ever', but it's okay. Don't try and ever get help from psu (pupil support unit) though. I went there with evidence that I was being physically and emotionally abused by another student, and they did nothing.
