SWCHS is a really great school.
This school really cares about you and your well-being. They have high expectations of the students and push them to their highest capabilities, which makes them better people in later life. All lessons are great and you can tell that the teachers love what they do. You get taught about everything and anything that can get you through life. I would massively recommend sending your child here, but the food isn’t always top notch and it can get a bit rough with the older and younger students. That’s all the warning I give you but honestly not many schools have the resources and overall quality of SWCHS.

This school is not a very good school to be attending the teachers are rude and pick on students in class which is humiliating they overload you with lots of homework which I think is really unfair considering they do not care about your mental health they have deadlines and if you do not complete for the deadlines you’ll be placed in lunchtime detention ruining your social life however the School lunches are hard to get to as the queues are incredibly long they are also a very strict school on unnecessary things for example there is lots of bullying that they do nothing about however if you are simply caught with a rolled kilt or some earrings you will be in trouble they have a thing called responsibility cards where every time you are seen in the wrong place using a bad word or un perfect uniform or late or eating in the wrong area they will mark your card if you get 4 marks you’ll be placed in an after-school if you get 8 you will be in a Friday after school if you get 12 you will be in isolation if you simply just forget your card you’ll be put in an after-school detention The receptionists are incredibly rude and make you feel very uncomfortable most teachers are very intimidating and unkind The students are horrible I have had awful experiences with other students and teachers have not done anything about it I’ve had anxiety walking into school many times because of certain students and no one does anything I have had the worst years of my life in that school this school may be for some people but it’s definitely not for me !!

Absolute shit. Makes me fucking depressed and I literally cannot be here anymore.
Good school but teachers are treated like slaves
Good school but many teachers leave mid year due to mistreatment/forced resignation for not killing themselves with overtime, which is very sad for both staff and students
Overall a great place for students, but the moral and human price of that is dubious. There must be a way to have a good school with good attainment without bleeding your staff dry
I would also like to clarify I was a former student and not a teacher so i don’t want any teachers at SWCHS to get into trouble should the SLT see this, I just know teachers in Cambs due to being a qualified teacher who know this about the culture there.
Also pretty obvious when our best and brightest teachers were in some sort of mass exodus. About 5 of my very good dedicated teachers left during my 4 year attendance there so it’s obvious things arent right

Lives up to expectations. Such a good school. Very big but you still truly feel known.
