Overall bad

Awful, headteacher stands around arms crossed not giving one about the quality of his school. They bring in trainee teachers just to make more money. Dinners are very low quality and charge about 5x more than what it actually costs. Students can’t go home in their PE kits except for year 11 if you have PE last lesson, I don’t understand why year 11’s can and the rest can’t. The technicians don’t give apps back on the iPads after you have paid for them. Some teachers just aren’t very nice and shouldn’t be there if they don’t want to be. The teachers physically keep you from going inside after you finished your dinner.

not good

the school just have the same lessons over and over again, they have hardly any respect for students, the school couldn't care less about the mental health of the students forcing them to work and work and work its like they have their whole life planned out for them.

SEDGEFIELD COMMUNITY COLLEGA

i have seen people get tormented and bullied to the pount they have tried to kill them self in the school building, i have seen people get beaten up and badly hurt, the teachers scream at you and disrespect you but when you do the same back your in the wrong, they dont let you stand your own ground, the school dont try to prevent bullying and only see your education as a priority, not bullying or mental health, the school is awful and i don’t recommend going there

This horrible place should be demolished

This should be shut down. I’ve only been in this school 1 year. 1 YEAR! And it has already ruined my life. Year 7 was so bad and in 2 days I have to come back to this absolute disgrace of a school. I struggle to sleep and cry all the time because I have to come back to this school. It is the single cause of my depression and anxiety and social anxiety. This place deserves nothing, the teachers deserve no pay, and this place makes me want to kill myself. Not to mention how horrible the students are. Thanks for ruining my life.

Bad school by Sofia

Sedgefield Community College is absolutely terrible. I’ve witnessed kids get tormented, beaten up and verbally abused. Yet the school doesn’t do anything about it. They sit there and let these things happen.

Additionally, They also make school life for the students extremely difficult. If a child had a problem with someone or something they would quite simply disregard it, and this is a perfect example on how much the school actually get away with, it’s appalling. Us students are dreading going back, knowing that nothing will ever change, and that if you had a problem regarding school, you just had to suck it up and move on.

Along with this, the service is extremely poor too. The school have been given months to put on the new timetables, yet the school choose to put them up at the very last minute, which perfectly reflects how poor the service is at this school.

In summary, if this school wants to improve, a lot of change has to be made, I expected better from an outstanding school like this one. I wouldn’t recommend sending your child here by any stretch, unless it was your very last option.

Scc is bad

This school is shocking. In year 8 I was put in a set with none of my friends and people who constantly made fun of me instead of doing the simple thing of moving me out of that set they didn’t care and let it happen. I even offered to moved down and yet they still said no. It made my school life hell and they didn’t care one bit. My school life is still hell and I’m dreading going back as I know I will be put back into that set even though numerous students are moving up and down. As someone who is going back in 5 days and I still don’t know what lessons I have I find this shocking I can’t lie I have the right to know wether I’m with my friends or not this close to the school year. I’m going into year 9 and I’m feel extremely drained from the same pattern they produce. My current head of year also doesn’t care I have problems and struggles and her reaction to this is let’s talk to which she just nods her head and sends me back to my lesson upset. They don’t give 2 about the students but the reputation of the school they also send letters and bug parents when children stay of school for serious reasons that we can’t help. How is this fair.

GCSEs are lacking

Absolutely terrible no GCSE options and most teachers are terrible, training teachers supposibly teach you the same as normal ones however they are useless and assist you in no way to your upcoming GCSEs , the food is desgusting and you would be served better in a prison

Exam factory

Significant lack of opportunities such as: lack of varied sports teams (ironic given that it is supposedly a sports college), no effort to ever partake in the Duke of Edinburgh Award, minimal school trips, lack of opportunity to complete work experience. Completely focused on exams, ‘exam factory’. They do not equip students for real life and the workplace.

Caused mental issues

This school cares about nothing but grades. Me and multiple people I know cracked up and had to drop out because of the pressure. They don't care about bullying and saying something about it only makes it worse. I was in the top class in my school and was bullied for the way I look. I had no choice but to drop out because of that school I have depression and anxiety. Thanks sedgefield.
