Just pick westcliff.
Honestly, just pick westcliff. i'm currently going to the school and it's horrible, they basically don't care about you if you're not upper middle class and white. I've experienced so many accounts of racism and it's always been brushed off. The schools poster boy is basically a white blonde girl as well. The teachers are pretty bad as well, they don't care about your mental wellbeing (no matter how many assemblies they have about it) or your success. Lower sets get the worst teachers and very...

Don’t put your kids through this
I’m a student who had to move schools. This was my dream school but the environment is so suffocating and institutionalised. They have no care for ANY students mental health and all students here are horrible, do not fall for the ‘great education’ scheme. It’s not worth it and will mess up a child’s mental and social wellbeing

fuckass school
disgusting and inhumane, making females forcefully wear skirts is barbaric and oppressive, not to mention the pure blatent racism on south asian kids. one of my personal experiences was when i was on year 10 and a male teacher harassed me into pullimg up my skirt when i had it below my knees this made me really uncomfortable. another time was when a female teacher tried seducing me which made me question my sexuality.

finally
It is over. I'm so happy. Not being one of the girls being bullied. Not getting too much trouble with teachers. It was not easy, but for some it was hard to survive.

ok - not supportive much
Ok, if you get things done on your own

do not expect much
Very average school, with teachers being not much empathic. Goal seems to be getting a higher national ranking of the school not guiding students to success. If you just want to work with students, who know everything and make no mistakes: your jobs are redundant. Most of the teachers are not able to work with people, not able to work with children.

great teachers
good school academically with many excellent teachers, lots of the teachers really care about the students and help them succeed although I have heard about negative experiences with pastoral support

good for the grades, not the experience
if you want to learn lots then i guess you might like it, but if you would rather socialise this is not the school because the teachers put so much pressure on you to do well and revise 24/7 so you never get time with your friends. i think if you want a good high school experience then this is not the place to go but if you want the grades then it is. it does get quite tiring when you have all this constant pressure on you for 5 years straight, but i guess some people want that so they do well.

Just pick westcliff
Went here from year 7 through 11 - all I can say is if you struggle with mental health don't go here, just stay away. The school is great at keeping the facade of being caring with all their bs assemblies and pastoral support but really they just press you for academic achievement so they look good for incoming students. There's also been issues with racism and inequality from staff and students so unless you're white and middle class then oh well I guess. Also I would like to point out that if you aren't among the smartest in the year or smartest in a subject then you're basically given up on, they say you're getting equal support but you're really not. Lower sets get the worst teachers, something which is just really counterintuitive. I miss friends that still go there but honestly I'm glad I left.
