Not very catholic
So many zesty teacher
Just some of the dangers of the school.
School overall was great but after reflecting on it now being much older I realise much of what I saw was not things someone of my age was supposed to see. Many of the teachers their are extremely kind and supportive (many not all, few bad apples). When I was in the school premises I had witness students taking cannabis and other forms of recreational drugs taken by other students my age. I am aware this is something that was out of the schools control and that it had even the police outside of the school checking us in before we enter but I was just want to let parents know that if you send your child to this school then there is a potential they can get caught up in drugs. I had witnessed decently behaving middle class young students my age hang around with the wrong crowd and become very different. Lastly, there is no gate stopping anyone entering the school, at one year I witnessed some enter the school premises with what had appeared to be a knife ( luckily it was a prop for dress up day). However, if he was an actual threat to the school there was nothing preventing him entering.

It is a well organised school with sufficient resources, most of the teachers are professionals. I did find some frustrations in the area of diversity, they did not seem to understand the rigours and had a lot of unconscious bias when dealing with females and children of colour. I raised this with them a few time but they were very dismissive and hide behind broad statements of understanding but little substance in my experience. They had no understanding of how their attitude impacted a my child's self awareness. I think if you are a white middle class boy you will do well in this environment and need to be a robust individual if you do not meet this criteria.

Honestly a disgrace
(IF YOUR A TEACHER AT ST BEDES READ THE BOTTOM SENTENCE FIRST THEYRE IN BRACKETS) I like the people there and most teachers but a few teachers are desperate for attention and accused me and a friend of mine of following them home which is atrocious and stupid!! And we told them what really happened but they didn’t bother to listen so in the end we admitted to it just to get it over and done with but we know that We truly have done nothing wrong. No it’s doesn’t end there!! This teacher has gone around telling every single teacher even though she herself knows we’re innocent making teachers stay away from us and making it look like we’re the bad guys. And of course everyone would rather believe a grown women over too young kids. So there I don’t recommend coming here AT ALL. Some teachers won’t take you seriously and will leave you out. And I have a feeling that I will get in trouble for making this review when I return to school on Monday as to why I’m very skeptical to post and must be done. But this time I WILL stand my ground and let them know I will not be shaken!! And the fact that this all happened about a year ago but that teacher still whispers and points out way,is always watching us through windows weirdly, telling teachers to stay away from us, calling us names to other teachers. So if I get in trouble this women should also get one too. (ALSO before the school takes action just know that this was written by a friend of their’s so don’t involve them I just wrote it from their point of view,and they have no idea I’m typing this otherwise they would have stopped me beforehand!!! )
