Do not send your child here!!

From someone coming as a present student of this school I must say this school is the worst school ever. They shout at you for no reason and they don’t care if your getting bullied they say u shouldn’t say anything to the bully and u should just report it but there is no one there to report it to because most of the time all of pastoral are on duty and there ani bullying policy is none existent if u send ur child here they are most likely to get bullied and let’s not forget about the safety of this school. this school has so many pedo teachers and 2 have already gone public and there’s more teachers that are still in that school that are pedos and the education in sience needs a lot of work when they do chemistry but we never do chemistry because teachers see it as a reward. I don’t recommend this school and please don’t send ur child here

I don’t recommend st Gregory’s

My child asked a member of the staff if he could wear his pe shorts and top but they told him no and started shouting at him then he came home being sick because he had sun stroke being in his blazer and won’t allow him taking it of they said to unbutton your top and take your tie of in my opinion that does not help at all they should improve on this. Another reason why this school is horrendous is that he was 1 minute late and he got a detention he was late cause of traffic but said not a good enough reason. My son was seen on his phone I get the reason to take it off him but not overnight something could of happened to him walking home I strongly advise you not to send your kids here!

As a former student of this high school, I recommend you don’t send your children here. The school are proud of their “anti-bullying policy” that is non existent. Students are constantly getting bullied by other students and if the victim say something back to the bully, the victim gets in trouble. The teachers constantly verbally abuse the students by shouting at them. As a student you’re not allowed to go to the toilet between lessons or during lessons, only break and lunch and that’s if it’s not raining and if it is, they don’t allow you to leave the cafeteria or classrooms at break or lunch. The teachers don’t seem to care about the students, only a fair few are nice to all students and treat them all fairly and like humans. If you suffer with bad mental health caused by bullying or home issues, the only support you get is being taken out of certain lessons throughout the week for a “catch up”. Another thing is the school piles so much homework and revision on students every day to the point where they have too much to complete by the deadlines and then get into trouble. Let alone the stress students have when it comes close to their GCSEs. Every little thing is said to be distracting from things like coloured dyed hair, to short hair cuts, or wearing a necklace that doesn’t have the cross on it, and it gets confiscated too until the teachers decide they are ready to give it back. The school is ridiculous and 100% wouldn’t recommend you send your children here.

Needed improvement on many levels

There’s a lot I could say about this school really, to the fact that they literally shout at you if you have brownies in the corridors to the fact that if you hurt yourself in PE they won’t send you to go back in and clean yourself up. My experience was good but there were definitely things that should have been changed to make the experience better and still improve it now. Honestly the teachers could have been a bit nicer, I mean what’s the point of shouting at a 14 year old because they are going to another food area. Another thing is that you basically get locked in the food areas if it’s raining. They don’t allow you to go to the bathroom or leave the food area. And then when you go to class and say you need the toilet they will shout at you for needing it and going during class when you weren’t allowed to go at break and you obviously can’t control your bladder. If teachers know they can’t control their bladders why do they expect us to control ours. Another thing, if you had natural Afro hair they would tell you that you couldnt have it. Because apparently it’s “distracting” which is absolutely ridiculous and that shouldn’t have been allowed in the school. Honestly because that is beyond any stupid hair rules they may have.
