Good school

Very good school, get great grades and lovely staff and some pupils. I have finished here and agree that the school is great as a whole but can get a bit boring towards the end of the year (especially your last year).

THIS SCHOOL SUCKS

It is misogynistic, who on this green earth is distracted by angles and the "new relaxed rules" on hair only benefit males and all canteen food is BEIGE

its bad

the kids are horrible, the teachers dont help, the rules are so stupid and unbelievably strict, the punishments are unfair, they dont care. they care more about how they look than the children. theyll punish you for the most useless things like once i got detention for not having one of those things that draw you a circle.

dont go

so strict on the most pointless things, like today i got a detention for not having a pencil sharpener, they have loads of stupid rules. one of the stupid rules is literally having to wear monochromatic socks. the school has lots of buildings, but lots of the rooms are stuffy and uncomfortable, and it doesnt help that there isnt anywhere to put bags and things. the children arent great either, and im talking about children from all year groups. the only good thing about this school i can think of is that i was able to make friends there

terrible place

terrible at dealing with bullying, the teachers could be so nasty and the constant picking on female students for uniform and/or personal identification was absolutely ridiculous.

the devil made this school

absolutely SHITE. went here before in 2021 and my experience was horrible. no one should go through the pain of this school, most of the students here are pick me chavs and roadmen and the teachers are vile they are racist and absolutely stuck up. they think they're always right and when things don't go the way they want them to they shout at u and act like everything is ur fault and then send u to detention. they're also SO STRICT with the uniform and so racist aswell, apparently afros and braids are distracting to them and look "messy" but they just don't want to admit to being a bunch of racist snow monkeys. the pe teachers also suck they forced me to do pe while i was on my period and in extreme pain. they are also so obsessed with homework like girlll 💀💀 they also expect u to not be sick at all throughout the cold atmosphere of this sickening prison and when ur absent they start getting fiesty, u could break ur neck and be in a wheel chair with severe chlamydia and expect u to be at school. to add on the teachers also don't care if ur getting bullied or not and tell them to stop and then they go on with their day not giving a single shaite about the bullies. they also get so defensive of themselves when someone points out their lack of brain cells. also when i tried to leave this school they threatened to call social services on me AS IF i would be scared one bit 💀 and i wasn't. so i would rate this terrifying school that's in the depths of hell -6900193/10. DO NOT go here i swear reading this review will save u all the troubles of going here

Slowly getting stricter

Pretty alright, a decent amount of the staff are chill, the campus is big and open and you get to make nice friends and memories, but it's recently become much stricter for no good reason- it was fine before but now we have skirt sanctions, why? What's the need?
Its become much more strict for other things too, mainly punctuality, its understandable to an extent but why so strict? The school was handling it fine before but why the harsh and unnecessary policies now?

tl,dr: Pretty good but it's becoming unnecessarily strict nowadays, its a shame honestly :/

2016-2021

My art teacher in year 9/10 made me stay at school until 6pm and made me stay in all lunch and all break to catch up on work. Fun fact, she told me the wrong thing to do in the first place and made ME stay behind for her mistake. The senior staff members are also very creepy. The male ones think that they have the audacity to tell the girls to roll their skirt down. I don't see why they can't keep their eyes up and not he glued to a girls skirt. I do not recommend this school

Former Student (2016-2021)

As a former student I can say that the school is disgusting when it comes to strict uniform rules- no ankles shown and no collarbone? That and the fact that they don’t prioritise mental health- I had to have a reduced timetable and take time off for my mental health and actually having the flu a lot. For this reason they wouldn’t admit me into the sixth form though my grades are good enough. Now I have to try find something else.
Really not prioritising students needs.

school

smc hull

not the best experience. besides friends and the memories you make with only THEM theres nothing good about it. handful of ok teachers. strict rules, the site is in open air so you will get wet and be freezing in the winter and sit in lessons soaking wet. care about appearance so much they will make you sit in isolation for long away from proper education eventhough they want you to be in school and learning in a class environment. dont care about our mental health AT ALL and teachers refuse to say anything when a student goes against them and wants to voice their opinions. you get personal tutors but they talk to you like 3 times a year, not much help. so yeah you choose but i wouldnt recommend :)

Poor School

Been here for the full 7 years and not enjoyed it much. The students are always lovely and only a handful of teachers. They care more about their image than the kids.

The school teachers so bad they don't let the students go to the toilet when they really need it and the teachers are rasist as they called students that are from different countries forginers

don't.

horrible school. stupidly strict uniform rules. not allowed own coats, complain about your hair being too short. and they have no idea how to handle kids with mental health issues. don't ever go here.

..........

Care more about the students having the right uniform and equipment than sorting out bullying. They're strategy for solving bullying isn't effective as it still continues after punishment. They do have a good pastoral team but they pick and choose who they want to help and if they don't like someone they'll refuse to help them.
