It's Ok

The school is Ok but could be better. Some positives are that (most) teachers are nice and fair to students and that there are some fun clubs such as the school musical. Some negatives are that I once saw a dead rat inside the school, the school is very dismissive of mental health at least from what I've seen and a few teachers have acted very weird around students and have said things like "Hitler wasn't that bad you never really new him as a person"

My experience at the school as a transgender child MtF

Hi I went to st Michaels and I am a trans women they supported my amazing but the bullying I had they did nothing about it the is a farm on the school the was one boy that got donkey muck and mud and smudge it over my mouth and they didn’t even give him a detention and he kicked a foot ball at me and said “oh sorry did I hit your balls” then laughed the was witness but his mates and the teachers said since no one was there they can’t do anything but they knew he did it but when i had enough I had a a go at him and cause I said something in front of a teacher I got isolation for it but after all that one of the teachers was rude homophobic and trans phobic he gave me detention everyday for different reasons for things I didn’t do like I’ll be one minute late to form and I’ll get a 2 hour detention cleaning his classroom but the would be a girl coming in 14 minutes late and never get a detention ever that’s all I have to say about the school.

Don’t send your child to this school

Please do not come to this school, it’s not what it seems at al all. Coming from a student who attends this school, it is dirty and unfulfilling, I am extremely excited to leave this school

Feels like a family

I would say some of the students are lovely and all of the teachers a warm and welcoming. They are always there for you. The education isn’t the greatest. It depends what teachers you get. There is a new headteacher now so things may change around the school since I went but I know all the staff are very nurturing

Great school

Probably the best high school in Merseyside!

Lovely teachers who are very supportive and care about you - they often stay behind to help those who wish. Plenty of extra activities, clubs and events if you're interested - musical, faith-based and sports. There are trips to theme parks every year and the building itself is quite nice. Outside, there is a yard specifically for the year 7s and a large field for older students - which works well.

If you want your kid(s) to do well and have an enjoyable high school experience, I'd recommend this school.
