Fantastic School
Amazing School. Our daughter couldn’t be happier having just started in reception. Lovely environment with amazing teachers and staff. Wrap around care also fantastic. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Controlling, unpleasant experience
RIGID + CONTROLLING
Child started Reception already reading & writing. I said we're exercising legal right to send part time before Compulsory School Age. Head said school didn't agree - as if they could over rule us. Email said to step back & that parents should only contribute small elements to their child's education.
On day 2 she came home with a note she'd been made to write saying 'won't tidy up'. School wouldn't differentiate. When I uploaded videos showing what she could do & asked for an additional/harder book I was told to stop uploading videos.
She was ignored on every homework task (nothing appropriate). Made to read same book 5 times even though fluent on 2nd read. Sprained her ankle when big kid slammed into her, school not watching, mixes all ages. Hurt her head on gate going into school, I asked teacher to give us a minute but she carried poor child away screaming. Uses shame-based control, e.g. children's names removed from a rainbow for other children to see.
