The headteacher is really fantastic. He was new to the school when I was in Y4 or 5 but he made a huge difference to the quality of learning. He introduced reward systems for the kids and came up with new engaging learning methods. He has also invested a lot into the school’s facilities and it really is amazing now compared to when I started in 2007.
The teachers I had in the later years were all fantastic and from what I’ve heard a lot of them are still there. There’s lot of fun clubs going on for the kids too and many different opportunities.
In the summer and at Christmas they normally put on a great school fête as well - it’s lots of fun and an amazing way to help the school out. I also really loved how they had a room that the kids could go in at the Christmas fête which sold lots of different cheap presents for parents. It meant that the children felt they could gift their parents something too!
They prepared me well for secondary school and I remember in Year 7 and 8 in maths especially, I had already covered the content at Primary School. It’s simply an amazing school and I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for Stukeley.
