Do not send your child to this school

My daughter struggled massively at this school there was no support and they don’t know how to deal with students with ADHD and ASD. My daughter was attacked at this school. Rather than looking to see why my daughter behaved the way she did and trying to resolve the situation I was just told my daughter is a trouble maker and should leave the school. That’s exactly what I did! since being at her new school she’s a completely different person and is thriving.

Lack of control

The school and staff are pleasant, but there is a lack of authority. The students seem to be increasingly rebelling, the system is failing. The students have no respect for the authority with dangerous consequences. Constant fights and threats of violence to my child. I feel my child is in an unsafe environment at this school.

Bullies and teachers

I have been bullied several times at the school I told my tutor who said she’d talk to the head of year but never did or if she did he never got back to me I then told another trusted teacher she got them suspended for a week even though she’d had several strikes before and she should have got a harsher punishment because she threw sherbet in my eyes and one of her friends sprayed axe body spray in my eyes and mouth several times and never got a punishment
I also have had a teacher that has been reported as unprofessional and bad at his job not being able to control the class not dealing with problems and just leading us to fall behind in our studies, they have been reported numerous times however he is still able to teach GCSEs!
Also at the start of COVID we had no live lessons they were hardly setting us work not checking up on us and leaving us to fall behind in our grades before yr 10 they made up excuses and when I was off for 2 weeks because of isolation only 2 teacher set me work and we called the school multiple times to tell them off this information however they didn’t get back to us until 2 days after we sent an email the head of year however was apologetic and disciplined the teachers giving us more work however it was only sent to me no one else in the class so what is happening to these kids grades??
The new building however adds space and there are always equal rights in the school I have personally not seen anyone singled out by a teacher however I can not say the same for students
