Disgusting comment from teacher

One of the teachers there believes that “men can’t be r@ped” absolutely disgusting how can u confidently say that to a class you’re meant to be teaching.

WORST SCHOOL POSSIBLE

Terrible school force you to go into your lessons and if you have a nervous breakdown they tell you to stop acting like a child and grow up.

I’m a student there now and I’ve had many rumours spread about me since the start of yr7 and they don’t do anything with the bully and they blame the bullying on your child.

The food is rubbish and is the portion size is enough to fill a toddler and they have no empathy or support for single parents.

I have an eye condition and they don’t do anything for any disabilitys and have no support towards autism and adhd, especially anxiety/social anxiety.

The pastoral team are rude and tell you to stop crying and grow up and tell you you’re acting like a 4 year old. Receptionists think there al that and kick off if you’re 1 minute late and roll their eyes at you if you say your feeling sick, etc. The ginger receptionist is the worst and shouts at your parents for no reason whatsoever.

At this school you could physically spew all over and they’d refuse to send you home.

Overall, absolutely awful school not recommended and if you want to ruin your child’s mental health and have them slashing themselves up then send them to Shotton Hall Academy.

Horrible school

This school has to be the worst school ever and I regret sending my child there. Bullied every single day and instead of excluding the bully and dealing with the problem they put my child in a room “safe place” and isolated them from the whole school. They laugh about bullying and say kids will be kids. No support, no empathy and make the victim out to be the bad one as if it’s their fault. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL

Do NOT send your kid here

Former student) absolutely awful school. Was emotionally abused by several teachers there. The teachers are NOT correctly trained in mental health awareness and haven’t got a clue about the education of children. They do not do anything about your child being bullied but rather blame your child for the bullying. If a child has emotional problems, the teachers will chase your child, bray on the bathroom door and scream at them to grow up.

No suicide or selfharm awareness, lack of empathy for struggling single parents, absolutely no knowledge of autism and adhd. This school is the worst possible.

If you want your kid to start slashing themselves up or attempting suicide, then send them to shotton hall academy. This school is a disgrace and the teachers in it are just as worse.

I remember a girl there who had a phobia of sickness and the receptionist decided to yell at her because she was crying. To top this off, ginger receptionist thinks it’s great to give your kids death stares or roll her eyes at your kid if they show up a minute late.

Attendance officer is abusive, had the audacity to show up at my house and PHYSICALLY grab my arm and drag me outside to the school bus that they send to your house when your child does not attend school.

Lunch portions is enough to fill a toddler, best off cooking your kids a whole damn meal before school. No support in place for transgender students or LGBTQ+ and lack of regard for disabled students.

Education is based off of things taught in nursery and primary school. No up to date education whatsoever. Probably be teaching kids about Henry’s wives, cos that will DEFINITELY teach a child how to take care of themselves in the adult world.

No support or advice for children who are wanting to plan out their future careers, nor does this school have any appropriate classes that teach children about the real world. Kids need to learn about money handling, how to keep a house, how to pay rent, how to not have a kid at 15. But instead they decide to teach you stuff from the 1900s because that apparently matters to todays society.

my personal review

horrible school for so many reasons. i finished this school in March of 2020 and it was probably the best day of my life. the******** were so authoritarian and saw themselves as some form of power entity, and they are clearly not qualified to handle children. the pastoral team were unprofessional and always victim blamed and their restorative justice techniques solved absolutely nothing. it is also filled with ***************** that clearly need to be investigated.

BAD EDUCATION

Terrible school
They don’t care about their kids just the grades. Throughout lockdowns this school haven’t been supplying the purples with enough help just forcing work on them. When schools went back students were cramped into classrooms and into narrow corridors. Tables weren’t getting cleaned and there WAS NOT enough seating at lunchtime even after getting minimal new tables and giving most of them to the year 7s. I WOULD NIT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL
