SEN support and pastoral team- PLEASE READ

I'm not sure if parents are well aware of the rising threat of online safety but if you are I would NOT recommend this school. I was a victim of a sexually abusive crime where I was groomed online and forced into sending inappropriate images of myself, I was in year 8 at the time and I was 12 when this first initially started. my so called "best friends" at the time hacked into my snapchat account and screenshotted all these photos and videos of me and instead of going to the school to see if they could report it so I could get help, they sent them round the school to humiliate me. the safe guarding team horrifically messed up the investigation and even downloaded these images and videos of to the school system which is a complete violation of my privacy and also very much illegal. the next 3/4 years were hell on earth as I was relentlessly bullied by this group of girls until I reached my breaking point. the school did nothing about this to stop the bullying as I was labelled as "to smart to be bullied". please avoid this school like the plague for your own mental health aswell as your Childs mental health

Avoid at all costs. Look beyond the facade

I've had 4 children at 4 different Chester High schools. This is, without doubt, the worst one. Don't be fooled by the beautiful campus, the lovely children that show you around. The pastoral care is non-existent, the SEN staff do their best but have no direction. Any issues raised are shot down with the words "oh that doesn't happen at Bishops" It does happen at Bishops, and it happens often. They just don't acknowledge it or deal with it.

Horrid

Students are out of control. Rude snobby entitled staff. Bad pastoral. Lessons are all over the place don’t place ur kid in this school unless u want them to develop mental health issues

Just dont

It i could rate lower than a one i would the school is all about being "seen" & looking goid but in reality its awful.. They have no true policy in bullying and don't act to deter it. Onlt acting once police bought in.. Dont put your kids in this toxic environment

what can i say?

eh it’s fine, the lessons are okay but many of my classmates aren’t really that nice also the lunch break is annoyingly long in my opinion. there is a lot of outside space but not much space to sit or hang out so it’s kinda awkward if you’re alone

Behaviour

The school is terrible when dealing with bullying and student behaviour issues, their counciling is horrible and the teachers tend to be incredibly rude towards students, majority of students are also mean, some teachers are lovely though and the education is good.
