My School Experience/Rant

Worst 5 years of experience I've ever had, teachers having a go at you for the smallest reasons yet such as uncontrollable laughter which is not helped, being forgetful and even for standing up and expressing your opinions and thoughts.

I had a teacher where she would tell me off for forgetting the parts of the book and the plot and instead of helping me improve my reading comprehension, she would put pressure on me and giving me anxiety. It was so bad that my sleep schedule was ruined because it would lead me to waking up at 5am, sometimes 4am!

There were some teachers that would scold people, not just me just for standing up and stretching our legs and socializing with our friends, mainly at the end of the school day. It felt as if we were controlled like puppets than being treated with respect. They even teach us on how to respect others and they don't seem to show it. What hypocrites!

As soon as I got into year 11, things has started to change and no, it's not for the better, it's for the worse! In my honest opinion, they did not know on how to handle COVID procedures, such as face masks, staggered timing, etc. We also had a system whenever it's the end of the school day, depending on our taxi/bus routes, we would be allocated in a specific room. This is where things start to get messy and disorganized, since we had to follow the 2m distance protocol, it seemed as if it has already been broken due to a number of students having to stay in one room until a route has been called! This was when we were controlled by staff at one point.

When all year 11s get together, we were treated as if we were preschoolers. We had achieved absolutely nothing and left with little to no qualifications thanks to their way of teaching! What a waste of time!!

Overall, if you decide to send your children to a special needs school, it would be advised if you stay away from this toxic school and look elsewhere if you want the best future for your children!
