not good school, it bad

This school is so draining they care more about uniforms than kids mental health like sort this school out the amount of bullying happening in this school and the teachers make you write on a paper you give it them they don’t even read it properly then throw it in the bin then say they gon sort it out and they don’t they keep changing everything about adding loads of fences making it look like a prison like there is no need it’s so unnecessary I ain’t ever stepping foot in that school again this is the most pathetic school ever sort it out

Terrible always hire teachers who don’t know how to teach take months to replace teachers who leave and all the lessons are with subs and the kids education gets ruined

I have been here since year 9 November 2020. Previously I went to another school where I didn't get the correct help I needed and was bullied everyday and hated going to school. But since I've moved to Burton Borough I've not been bullied, I get the help that I need and I love going ti school. The teachers are nice and understanding of my disabilities.

They never help you with anything. You report something and they don’t sort it out. Got told off for not understanding the work when I wasn’t it when they started it. Keep us off when it’s snowed a little bit and say that they are short staffed because of the snow but the roads are clear. i hate the school to be honest, just walking to school drains me. they spend way to much focusing on what we look like then if we are getting the right education. the staff in the small schools focus too much on uniform issues than actual issues.issues in school don’t get sorted. not allowed to the toilet or to get a drink in lesson, which in fact is one of our human rights. They don’t allow you to show your ankles but they only enforce it on girls. There’s chewing gum under the desks, on the chairs and squashed into the carpet Loads of locks on the toilet doors have been broken for months and there’s never any soap or hand sanitiser in the dispensers Awful school

People literally shout the f slur and the r slur across the corridors and no one does anything about it. They care way too much about uniform and not enough about important things like the quality of our learning. I got isolation for losing my standards card, which was the same punishment that someone got for saying the n word. Bit stupid innit? They don’t deal with the ridiculous amount of homophobia and transphobia that goes on in class. One time in maths this random boy started misgendering a trans kid, using slurs and shouting about how there’s only 2 genders. A massive argument about whether or not non binary exists broke out, and the teacher came over and agreed with the transphobe. This school is a mess.

the staff in the small schools focus too much on uniform issues than actual issues, i still go to burton borough, and 1 boy was sitting in a bush while 2 others lightly kicked him, but it looked like they were doing it hard, two SLT members of staff saw this and carried on walking, the boys were friends, but i think the staff should still of checked this out, the school has gone downhill in past 2-3 years! also lots of bullying gets overlooked, its clearly recognised, they pass it off as banta, like kids do as and excuse, and they fo not punish people hard enough for anything, they didn't even kick a boy out when he kicked someones face in!

I got bullied while here and there advice was to ignore it no one likes the new head and everyone is rude used to be good but has gone downhill a lot also way to focused on uniform and ignore propper issues
