Don’t send your kid there
Terrible always hire teachers who don’t know how to teach take months to replace teachers who leave and all the lessons are with subs and the kids education gets ruined

- the majority of teachers don’t let you use the toilet
-they didn’t let use choose if we wanted to do french or spanish they just chose for us
- every lesson with a supply teacher ends up in an argument unless it’s a good supply that everyone loves( if u go to school here then u probs know who i mean)
- we don’t learn anything because teachers can’t control their class
- no phones at lunch and break is ridiculous
- you can get isolation if you don’t have a tie
- they are so strict on uniform
- there if a fight almost everyday
- it is not safe at all especially since the incident of someone being on the roof

My life here
I have been here since year 9 November 2020. Previously I went to another school where I didn't get the correct help I needed and was bullied everyday and hated going to school. But since I've moved to Burton Borough I've not been bullied, I get the help that I need and I love going ti school. The teachers are nice and understanding of my disabilities.
Awful school
They never help you with anything. You report something and they don’t sort it out. Got told off for not understanding the work when I wasn’t it when they started it. Keep us off when it’s snowed a little bit and say that they are short staffed because of the snow but the roads are clear. i hate the school to be honest, just walking to school drains me. they spend way to much focusing on what we look like then if we are getting the right education. the staff in the small schools focus too much on uniform issues than actual issues.issues in school don’t get sorted. not allowed to the toilet or to get a drink in lesson, which in fact is one of our human rights. They don’t allow you to show your ankles but they only enforce it on girls. There’s chewing gum under the desks, on the chairs and squashed into the carpet Loads of locks on the toilet doors have been broken for months and there’s never any soap or hand sanitiser in the dispensers Awful school

. Once the fire alarm got set off deliberately twice in a week, one of which was at lunch time
. They don’t allow you to show your ankles but they only enforce it on girls.

TLDR: this school is crap
Ew ew ew
People literally shout the f slur and the r slur across the corridors and no one does anything about it. They care way too much about uniform and not enough about important things like the quality of our learning. I got isolation for losing my standards card, which was the same punishment that someone got for saying the n word. Bit stupid innit? They don’t deal with the ridiculous amount of homophobia and transphobia that goes on in class. One time in maths this random boy started misgendering a trans kid, using slurs and shouting about how there’s only 2 genders. A massive argument about whether or not non binary exists broke out, and the teacher came over and agreed with the transphobe.

BULLYING is overlooked
the staff in the small schools focus too much on uniform issues than actual issues, i still go to burton borough, and 1 boy was sitting in a bush while 2 others lightly kicked him, but it looked like they were doing it hard, two SLT members of staff saw this and carried on walking, the boys were friends, but i think the staff should still of checked this out, the school has gone downhill in past 2-3 years! also lots of bullying gets overlooked, its clearly recognised, they pass it off as banta, like kids do as and excuse, and they fo not punish people hard enough for anything, they didn't even kick a boy out when he kicked someones face in!
Not good
I got bullied while here and there advice was to ignore it no one likes the new head and everyone is rude used to be good but has gone downhill a lot also way to focused on uniform and ignore propper issues
Terrible school
Went here 4 years and had 5 different English teachers in one year and in science never had a actual teacher just had cover teachers the whole time who would keep changing the subject we where learning so when it came to exams it was a very big struggle.
