This school is exceptionally bad. Bullying is a constant problem, and they do nothing about it except put an 'anti-bullying ambassadors' team in which as far as I can see make a rubbish assembly once a year and have done with it. They use safeguarding as an excuse to spy on students through computers instead of actually going out and checking in with students. They're pushy, they constantly bang on about exams which causes mass panic and stress. They have little to no regard for SEN students, which are often just forgotten about and are left to fend for themselves. They constantly push students beyond what they feel comfortable doing, and often drive students to tears (like they did for me). CSET (Castle's trust) are a bunch of time and money wasters, in which their main job seems to be sucking up all the budget for themselves to line their own pockets with and then digging coppers out of the sofa to give to the actual schools. The buildings are practically collapsing and are looking dilapidated and worn out. They constantly send out information to students and parents which turns out to be wrong, which causes mass confusion, panic and stress. Take your children elsewhere. You're doing them a disservice if you send them here.
This school has declined rapidly. Pupils are treated like lemmings. They are not treated as individuals. They are failing pupils and the communication from the school is dreadful.
School was welcoming first year, but as you went up the years they cared less and less for me as a person, seems they only saw me as a grade statistic.
Hard to get the correct additional support if you're entitled to it, only got what I was properly entitled to at the end of y11/start of y12.
Teachers are kind, lessons are chill, just wish you could get to be seen more as a student.
Bullying is very common and to be expected, most are left with horrible mental health after leaving. most teachers are alright but there’s a few that should definitely not be there. Everyone ends up smoking and personally I would never send my child here.
Some teachers were good, they were clearly very overworked, like lots of people I ended up with bad mental heath problems partially due to the school which could have been lessened by the staff doing anything to help. Overall pretty bad.
Good school and most teachers are nice. So many people smoke though and there’s not much the school can do about it. Children also are struggling with mental health and are trying to take their life which the should have support for. Need more benches under the y10 area as children are complaining they have nowhere to sit.
