    impatient, unreasonable and awful

I went to this school year 7 through to year 9, this school is very unsupportive and staff can be quite impatient with students. this school would not help with any mental health issues which left me refusing to go in on the daily, I'm now homeschooled as im scared to go back to any school due to the fact no one listened to me or believed me. they brush off horrendous bullying, teachers are always shouting and don't encourage students to aim to their full potential. I was suspended multiple time...

    Bullying NOT dealt with.

I had high hopes sending my children to The Duston School...unfortunately it was the worst mistake I could have made. Majority of staff made my children feel embarrassed and unsupported. They were constantly suspended for being unable to attend lessons due to developing anxiety because of horrendous bullying which was not dealt with properly. Rather than helping my children, the school completely failed at their job. Only about 3 staff members were at all interested in helping my children but un...

Racism is there. My son was in primary school. He has asthma, and caughing severely. They forced him to get outside of school.

    horrific school

We have had an absolutely horrific time at this school. Child started 2019. I made the class teacher aware of the difficulties my child has. This fell on deaf ears! Fast forward 3 months, my child became a different person. Withdrawn, depressed, wouldn't eat or drink. I rang the school to speak with the head, but only managed to speak with the head of year 7. I asked about bullies, but the exact words I was told, were 'Your son doesn't bother with anyone, so that's why no one bothers with them' Isn't this bullying in itself? They acknowledged my child was incredibly isolated but failed to do anything about it. Disgusting. The school is run like a business. From our experience, they only care about how well the child does academically. They didn't care about the well-being of my child at all in the beginning until I demanded he went to their Pupil impact centre within the school. The staff in there were great. Thank God my child is now out of there!

    Mixed feelings.

The school almost turn a blind eye to bullying and encourage students who are falling behind in post-16 subjects to just leave. Excellent grades are what they want, not safe and happy students. The teachers not involved in the post-16 students are superb, however, and do seem to care about the students and making them enjoy their educational experience.

How I think they are handling Covid-19

The school has dealed with this pandemic very well, even though their are some parents that will have their meaning fits and say how bad they are doing and how it's bad how their not letting the children outs side and that they are stuck inside a classroom for the whole day but if your think they are keeping the much more safe than doing their own way . So overall I think that the school are doing very well x
