wrong way to go

this school is quite depressing as i join in year 7 and now I'm year 8 while being bullied the whole time through. The teachers haven't done anything about it while i was here this has been the same problem with 2 of my older sisters who also attended this school.my mother has sent countless email and the teachers to seek for more help but, still haven't done anything about it. This is also a problem with my friends who were bullied at school. The teachers don't care about the children's mental health at all. Not to mention the way the teachers treat you like u have no feeling. They always take in our books and then also say we have homework to do in our book then we get in trouble because of their mistakes . They also don't do anything to help the people with a disability from what I've seen from some of my friends and myself. This has been a problem for over 8 years as all 3 of my sisters have gone to ews. The school is also homophobic and racist. I would not suggest going to this school or sending ur child to this school

Disappointing school

This school is quite depressing, I compare others highschool experiences to mine and im so envious of what they have- ive been bullied since I first started this school (in year 7) and im still experiencing this abuse in year 11, the teachers know about this and they wont take any further action other than taking the bullies out of their lessons; I find this extremely unfair because i feel that what i went through deserves to be taken more seriously, my mother has sent countless amounts of emails to the school to try seek more help for me but they havent changed their ways of treating the situation. Both my older sister and my younger sister have also been through bullying at this school and yet the school just wont take further action, i feel so undermined and it makes me worry that maybe im overreacting- the school keeps these bullies, they protect them and justify their actions by saying that they have “problems at home”- im sorry but no matter their home situation, bullying shouldnt be tolerated, i had an extremely bad home life due to abuse at home but i dont do things like these bullies. I wanted school to be a safe place like they always say but i really havent been feeling safe here for almost 6 years now. Other than their safeguarding, the teachers are horrible at teaching, many of them even own up to not even wanting to be teachers, very rarely there will be some teachers who love teaching and want to help students but majority of the others really dont want to be there for us- i find this extremely unfair on the students because we can’t exactly choose to be at school and its not our fault that there are teachers who dont want to do their jobs, its really unfair that we get bad grades due to these teachers because at the end of the day we are relying on them to teach us.

WHY ELLEN IS NOT A GOOD SCHOOL

This school preaches its great results when in reality they only praise and focus on high achieving students and leave everyone else for themselves as someone with dyslexia this school had not helped at all not giving me extra support not even recognising it at all not even telling my english teacher. A number of the teachers are just rude and act like the students have no feelings. For example as a student with social anxiety i got my friend to ask a teacher if we could go and get some water at break time the teacher then shouted at me saying i need to speak for myself and embarrassed me in-front of other staff and pupils. This same teacher has put my isolation for “not being in a line” however i had been walking to it and other students were to and has also sworn at a child with little punishment. I am however not saying all teachers are like this as the odd few are very nice. The school also does nothing about racism blaming students for other students calling them racist words. This school has lowered my self esteem and mental health. In conclusion if you want a happy and equal environment i would NOT recommend this school.

Teachers

Overall, the teachers genuinely care about their students’ achievement and care about their mental health and I would argue this is the most important aspect of school to look at.
