The Hathershaw College

The school brainwashes the students at open evening making them likelier to pick the school after and when the arrive, the staff intimidate students, gossip and lack general respect. Some staff in the school are doing their best but it isnt enough, teachers quitting (or getting fired for some 'incidents'), permanent supply teachers, teachers who throw accusations and are clearly biased to other students Its enough.
The staff lack general knowledge about student wellbeing and make them cry which is straight up disgusting and pathetic, I can literally name millions of things about this school and every single one is negative. No student should go to this school and experience the catastrophies that happen everyday and also there are many racist students and 'bullies' who always get scotch of free. Take my word, DO NOT PICK THIS SCHOOL, You also can check the OFSTED parent view results if you want to see what other parents think of the school. The lastest ones as of im writing is 2025/26

The worst school ever. A lot of horrible kids went there and a lot of the teachers were no better either. I was bullied relentlessly the whole time I was there and I ended up leaving earlier than expected in year 11 because I wasn’t coping at all and nothing was done about the bullying. I’m nearly 23 and still to this day have a lot of PTSD from being there, it affected me that badly. It’s an absolute dump of a place and it should be closed down. A lot of the teachers I had when I was there were jobsworths that had no idea what they were doing and were borderline useless when it came to dealing with bullying.

Do not send your child here. There are some great schools out there but I can safely say that this is not one of them. I’d give it no stars if I was able to.

Awful school, I went here- I was horribly bullied, had a pen thrown into my eye- and most staff could NOT care less.

I had even told a senior member of staff I was experiencing physical and emotional abuse at home, to which they brushed it off, claiming that it wasnt as bad as I portrayed it.

The school is very cliquey as well, if you don’t look a certain way/act a certain way you are open to heavy amounts of bullying from practically every student in your year.

I am an adult now, and can confidently say this school needs some heavy work.
