The truth about Highcrest

Personally, I feel that the school isn't great! The teachers don't offer any support for students who need it the most and the behaviour management is appalling.

mental health doesn't matter here.

I wasn't sure whether to leave a review because of the fact that my mental health and wellbeing completely plummeted due to school. I really don't think it has much to do with how the school is running in general but I'd say how the students are dealing with the workload definitely isn't going well along with lockdown. I'm absolutely terrified for my GCSEs as I feel as though I'm going to fail basically every subject because I'm not confident enough in it. I'm sorry that this isn't really a good review of highcrest but based on personal experiences, school really pushes mental health and doesn't really do anything or show any empathy for the children are struggling with work or even work at home, family life or Friends. The school is on top of a very big hill meaning that me and and a lot of other students are walking up the hill every morning at 8.am as though it it really trains part of our energy but that kind of irrelevant. The GCSE subject that you can shoes are quite varied going from construction to fashion the options are pretty good. Other than that I really don't think that highcrest is handling mental health very well. I I also believe that at a quality isn't really a good thing going on in school I think that blm definitely something's that our head teacher has spoken on during lockdown but nothing has been said about the lgbtq+ community or any religion (I think). mayby I just absolutely hate school with my entire being but I feel l highcret definitely didn't help. So for that reason I am choosing to give the school three stars for the lack of support which is more important to the students than the staff seem to think.
